We sampled many Coho Salmon and after quick processing, they were released. This is a fair sized pre-spawn male.
When Tourism Australia advertised for a chance to live and work in the outdoors for six months for 'the best job in the world' they received over 330,000 applications. Positions ranged from Chief Funster for the state of New South Wales to Wildlife Caretaker for South Australia. Allan Dixon became the Northern Territory's Outback Adventurer.
This must be one of the most craziest jobs out there, being a target for angry bulls creating a distraction so the recently ejected cowboy can get out of the way!

This is a photo from April 2010 of Drew and Ashley, way out in the Yukon Backcountry.
Currently Drew has his sights on warmer climates, as he has just made the shortlist for a "Best Job In The World", a Park Ranger in Australia [ Best Jobs Australia ]
In order to make the cut for the final 3 candidates, Drew has to demonstrate his passion for the position.
To do so, he is headed on a cross-country journey to promote Canada's National and Provincial Parks and his quest to get the job.
Anyone can drive across Canada right? But how many cars have you seen decked-out in faux fur, shimmering in the morning breeze, cruising down the highway? Drew has outfitted his car to resemble a very convincing beaver, lovingly dubbed Woody.
Drew has been on the road for a week now, stopping in parks along the way to hike, kayak, and breathe in all that Canada has to offer.
