Located in Dublin, Ireland - The Trinity Library is home to the famous Book of Kells. The Library itself is like something out of a Harry Potter movie. Truly a fantastic place to visit.

Mt. Robson is the tallest peak in the Canadian Rockies. The hike up to Berg Lake is one of the most beautiful, scenic hikes you could ever do! Two glaciers feed directly into the lake and several other glaciers also help supply the lake with water, you can see the braided stream beds that help feed the lake in the bottom right hand corner of the image.

Wow. Spent three days hiking the Berg Lake and Snowbird pass trail two weekends ago. This shot has been blowing my mind since I took it. It’s looking South towards the North Face of Mt Robson over a very still Berg Lake. It was an amazingly clear night with the Milky Way rising and no sign of the moon so I was down at the lake taking some astrophotography. We then had an aurora fire up so I turned around to take some shots North and watched the Aurora come and go for about 30 min. After the main aurora had faded, I went back to take a few more shots looking south over the lake to Robson as the Milky Way had lined up with the low point in the range. We then experienced a rare aurora phenomena with a ‘Picket Fence’ and what I think could be ‘Steve’ appearing above it. Given we were looking South from a latitude of 53’ North this just makes it all the more incredible. I don’t think I have ever seen a photo of Berg lake and the North Face of Robson with an aurora over it. ‘Steve’ was formally discovered in 2017 by aurora watchers from Alberta and was determined to be caused by a 25 km wide ribbon of hot gasses at an altitude of 300 km, temperature of 3000 °C and flowing at a speed of 6 km/s (compared to 10 m/s outside the ribbon). The name "Steve" was taken from Over the Hedge, an animated comedy movie of 2006, in which its characters chose that name for something unknown. The ‘Picket Fence’ below was slowly cycling to the right of frame. Berg Lake sits at an altitude of 1,646 m (5,400 ft). The North Face of Mt Robson rises 2308m (7572m) out of the lake to a total height of 3,954 m (12,972 ft) and is the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Berg by Warnockwise (Peter Wise and Lucy Warnock).
This was one of the Sculptures by the Sea on Tamarrama beach this year. I loved the texture of this exhibit and how incongrous it was sat in the middle of the beach, standing almost in defiance towards the rising sun. Thanks for any comments. Tom
