Da ich meinen Bahnhof um eine Raiffeisen-Anlage ergänzen möchte, brauche ich für diese natürlich auch noch das ein passendes Fahrzeug. Hierbei fiel meine Wahl auf den Mercedes Rundhauber, da dieser auch in den 80er Jahren noch weit verbreitet war und dementsprechend zeitlich zu meinem Bahnhof sehr passend ist. Die Front des Modells ist bis auf ein paar kleine Veränderungen dabei von Florian aus unsrer Noppenbahner-Gruppe übernommen, der Rest des Modells ist vollständig von mir.
As I am planning to add a 'Raiffeisen'-Business to my train station, I figured I would need a fitting truck to go with it. I therefor picked a Mercedes 'Rundhauber', as these where still quite popular in the 80s, my depicted era. The front of the model is, despite of some minor changes, taken from a model by Florian from our Noppenbahner-group, while the rest is entirely my job.

Seen on route 117 in Lower Feltham.
One of the nicest batches of buses in the current TfL fleet saw redeployment at the beginning of September onto route 117 between Staines and West Middlesex Hospital. They have been fully refurbished inside and out and now wear the standard RATP turquoise inside.
This batch of Citaros were originally ordered by Quality Line for route 413 and numbered MCS01-09. When the business was taken over by RATP, the batch rather confusingly became MCLs (despite their shorter length than the existing, older 203 batch). After the closure of Epsom Garage, though route 413 was transferred to Go-Ahead London, the buses were retained for use on route 117, now more sensibly coded MCM.
I hope the people of Staines, Ashford, Feltham and Hounslow appreciate the extra class that the Citaro brings over the standard lightweights now ubiquitous across the UK.
Unfortunately, the weather on the first day was very dull indeed; not ideal for photography so I shall be back!

Der Mercedes-Benz W 121 B II (Verkaufsbezeichnung Mercedes-Benz 190 SL) ist ein Sportwagen von Daimler-Benz, der von 1955 bis 1963 als Roadster (wahlweise auch mit Coupédach erhältlich) angeboten wurde.
Die Zahl 190 steht in der Verkaufsbezeichnung für den Hubraum in Centiliter gemessen, die Zusatzbezeichnung SL ist die Kurzform für „Sport Leicht“.

It's very sad to see previously cerished cars being abandoned like this Mercedes, which still wears historic plates. Normally in Greece a car like this would remain untouched however this one is on Ios where there are a lot of tourists so it's been vandalised. Someone has smashed the drivers window and windscreen, as well as damaging the rear end in an attempt to open the boot

Certainly my domestic highlight of my Prague trip in 2018 was this amazing SLR McLaren.
The SLR is one of my favorite cars of all times and if I were to win the lottery, I would definitely get one becaus it's a great asset, too.
Nothing will ever be made like this by Mercedes, I guess.
This is also my first coupe in black. It looks just stunning.
