Als einziges Vorkriegs-Pkw-Modell baute Daimler-Benz den W 136 nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg weiter. Im Jahr 1953 wurde er vom völlig neu konstruierten W 120 abgelöst.
As the only pre-war car model, Daimler-Benz continued to build the W 136 after the Second World War. In 1953 it was replaced by the completely redesigned W 120.

The Mercedes-Benz 540K (1938) was a luxury grand tourer produced by Mercedes-Benz from 1936 to 1940. Powered by a 5.4L supercharged inline-8 engine, it produced 180 hp, enabling a top speed of 110 mph (177 km/h). Featuring elegant coachwork, advanced suspension, and limited production, it remains a collector’s classic.
