The mono version of the image I posted a day or two ago. I agree - the mono works better. Thank you Dave Feaster.

Iconic View of big ben taken during blue hour around sunset. This view has been taken millions of times before, so I got in line and got snapping after all the tourists had finished.

The most southerly of the Munro's in Scotland, Ben Lomond rises to a height of 3194ft above sea level on the eastern shore of Loch Lomond.

The day's walk up to the most northerly munro was rewarded with wonderful views down to the Flow Country ( a rolling expanse of peatland and wetland ).

It certainly was boggy - but my dogs were enjoying it! Islay was mesmerised by the summit view or was it a red deer she had heard...

I'm pretty sure this is Ben Nevis in the clouds

Ben had to let loose today. I gave it a little bit of mono effect.

Spent the night on top of Ben Newe with one of my sons, couldn't ask for better weather, just enough clouds to make the sunset interesting.

an artistic twist on Ben Loyal

Shot over to to Ben Mor Coigach which is an impressive hill located outside Ullapool. Shot taken from the roadside as the sun set behind the ridge.

This is Ben More on the Isle of Mull, Scotland. There is no higher mountain further South on the British Isles. I took this from a passing bus. I really should get off the bus and take some proper. static shots. The mountain looks like the side profile of a giant face lying down and facing skywards.

Ben Lawers (Scottish Gaelic: Beinn Labhair) is the highest mountain in the southern part of the Scottish Highlands. It lies to the north of Loch Tay, and is the highest point of a long ridge that includes seven Munros. It is the highest peak in Perthshire, and is the tenth highest Munro in Scotland. Ben Lawers was long thought to be over 4,000 feet (1,219.2 m) in height; accurate measurement in the 1870s showed it to be some 17 feet (5.2 m) short of this figure

A local wander resulted in this quick snap shot looking north across Loch Lomond toward the mountain of Ben Lomond.

Looking down upon Ben Crom Reservoir in the Mourne Mountains on a gloomy day. It is named for the pointy mountain at its head on the right. It sends its waters (and there's plenty of rain around!) to the distant city of Belfast.

There's a great trot along the left bank of the reservoir from a path descending gently from the right here, down to the enticingly named Shelter Stone at the norther edge. There is a rougher way by the stream straight ahead here but it's not a joy.

The Ben Franklin Bridge is a suspension bridge across the Delaware River connecting Philadelphia, Pa. and Camden, N.J.

Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in the British Isles. Standing at 1,345 metres (4,411 ft) above sea level, it is at the western end of the Grampian Mountains in the Lochaber area of the Scottish Highlands, close to the town of Fort William.

The mountain is a popular destination, attracting an estimated 100,000 ascents a year, around three-quarters of which use the Pony Track from Glen Nevis. The 700-metre (2,300 ft) cliffs of the north face are among the highest in Scotland, providing classic scrambles and rock climbs of all difficulties for climbers and mountaineers. They are also the principal locations in Scotland for ice climbing.

The summit, which is the collapsed dome of an ancient volcano, features the ruins of an observatory which was continuously staffed between 1883 and 1904. The meteorological data collected during this period are still important for understanding Scottish mountain weather. C. T. R. Wilson was inspired to invent the cloud chamber after a period spent working at the observatory.

Ben Lomond, in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park is the most southerly of all Scotland’s Munros. At 974m high, it’s by no means Scotland’s highest peak, but the walk, views and proximity to Glasgow make Ben Lomond easily one of the most popular Scottish mountains for keen hikers. The view to the north from the top reveals range beyond range of mountains right into the Highlands.

Composite of a street shot, this guy was walking through Glasgow green a few years back so I’ve decided now was the time to edit. Since posting he’s now been in touch Ben Hamilton of Glasgow.

We were on a bike trail down in the river valley. No people around so we let them loose for a bit. Sam is crazy fast and the light was just incredible. My focus was good on this one. Pretty much straight out of camera with a small crop. (I am grateful a biker did not come around the corner.)
