Went to Bempton Cliffs for the first time at Easter. The sun was strong, the light was harsh, and wow was it hard to get a decent exposure, let alone a decent photo! I took a couple of hundred photos and at a quick glance, this is one of the best of a bad bunch.

Hopefully, we might get chance to go back in the summer, when there may be a few more birds around.

Gannets

OK folks, here's for the boring bit - loads of seabird shots from our day at Bempton yesterday. I make no apologies, I love gannets (and other seabirds of course).

Lots of puffins, guillemots, gannets and kittiwakes nesting on the cliffs. There have also been sightings of a single Black Browed Albatross to the southern end of the cliffs.

At Bempton Cliffs RSPB Reserve the cliffs are so high that the birds are flying below you.
