Direkt gegenüber vom Rockefeller Center an der Fifth Avenue kann man diese wunderschöne, im neugotischen Stil erbaute Kathedrale finden.
Directly across from Rockefeller Center on Fifth Avenue, one can find this beautiful Gothic Revival style cathedral.

Christmas decorations in the capital of Malta.
Blick auf die Horseshoe Falls oder auch Canadian Falls genannt, die schon beim Tage betrachtet spektakulär sind. Die nächtlich Lightshow setzt aber noch einen drauf.
View of the Horseshoe Falls or also called Canadian Falls, which are already spectacular when seen during the day. But the nightly light show takes it to the next level.
Die Hafeneinfahrt von Lindau am Bodensee gilt als das Wahrzeichen der Stadt. Sie wird charakteristisch geprägt vom "Lindauer Löwen", der 6 Meter hoch und 50 Tonnen schwer ist. Fertiggestellt wurde das Bauwerk 1856. Die Zahlen sind in römischen Ziffern, MDCCCLVI, im Sandstein eingeprägt. Gegenüber vom Löwen befindet sich der neue Leuchtturm. Dieser sitzt auf einem Sockel von 24 Meter Umfang und ragt 36 Meter in die Höhe. Der Leuchtturm gehört weltweit zu den wenigen Türmen, deren Fassade mit einer Uhr versehen ist.
The harbor entrance of Lindau on Lake Constance is considered the landmark of the city. It is characteristically marked by the "Lindau Lion", which is 6 meters high and weighs 50 tons. The building was completed in 1856 and the numbers are engraved in Roman numerals, MDCCCLVI, in the sandstone. Opposite the lion is the new lighthouse. This sits on a pedestal 24 meters in circumference and it rises 36 meters in height. The lighthouse is one of the few towers in the world whose facade is equipped with a clock.

Ein Blick nach oben
Die mittlerweile traditionelle Weihnachtsdekoration im Foyer eines Bürogebäudes der B&L Gruppe, direkt an der Elbe, symbolisiert unterschiedlich große Weihnachtsbäume. Durch die wechselnden Farben der Beleuchtung zeigen sich immer neue Farbtöne und Schattierungen. Ich wünsche allen ein frohes und gesundes neus Jahr.

The now traditional Christmas decoration in the foyer of an office building of the B&L Group, directly on the Elbe, symbolizes Christmas trees of different sizes. The changing colors of the lighting always reveal new colors and shades. I wish everyone a happy and healthy new year.

Again on the topic of image composition: I don't like flowers that are taken in the middle, from above. For the most part, they seem boring to me. This flower is also from above. My way out was not to take it outdoors, but in the BlackBox on black and slightly offset to the side. With the targeted spot lighting with a Rollei Cube, I wanted to add some dynamics to the picture. I hope my idea was good enough
Wieder mal zu Thema Bildaufbau: Ich mag mittig, von oben aufgenommene Blüten nicht. In den meisten Fällen wirken sie auf mich langweilig. Auch diese Blüte ist quasi von oben. Mein Ausweg war sie nicht im Freien, sondern in der BlackBox auf Schwarz und etwas seitlich verschoben aufzunehmen. Durch die gezielte Spot Beleuchtung mit einem Rollei Cube wollte ich dann doch noch etwas Dynamik in die Aufnahme bringen.

In this blue hour HDR photo you can see the gothic church "Sint Janskerk" to the left (with the red tower). It was built around 1200 as a roman catholic church. In 1632 it became a protestant church after Maastricht had been conquered by Frederik Hendrik.
The other church visible is the basilica "Sint Servaas". It is the fourth church built on this place, which started as a grave with memorial chapel for Saint Servatius, built in the year 384.
