Peanut butter for me...
I found a package of frozen bagels in the freezer this morning... after thawing them out, I gave them to the squirrels.... they love them!!
She washed her body in my pond
Droplets all over the place
Now she is rolling around - drying up
Feet up in the air
Wings stretching
She is quite a sight
Another photo taken on my walk yesterday in Humber Bay Park W, Toronto. I salute my many friends who have enriched my life and whom I cannot see during this COVID19 lockdown. Thanks for all the loyal Flickr friends who take the time to visit and comment on my photos.

This is called Yarn Bombing... and at the Stony Brook Museum, there are many trees that are covered in this colorful and very time consuming art form...
If you have never heard of this before, I thought I'd share... if you Google Yarn Bombing, you will see this is done all over the world!!
One of many photos taken yesterday on my walk along the Waterfront Recreational Trail, Toronto.

What with Christmas and now the lockdown I’ve just lost track of the days, so here is a #wavewednesday on Thursday. I was freezing this morning walking the dogs at half five, one of the coldest this winter, but I was more numb with the events in the US. This was always going to happen so I shouldn’t of been shocked, but when it did it still knocks you back. It’s about the only thing that took my mind away from the grim virus situation we are in at the moment. This is what happens when you preach diversity, and spin lie after lie. Be warned Britain don’t think this can’t happen here. #bekind #besafe

The park is south of Lake Shore Boulevard West, near Park Lawn Road. Humber Bay Park East is 19 hectares, while Humber Bay Park West is 120 hectares." - Wikipedia

I went for my daily walk today, as permitted during the Stay-at-Home lockdown, in Toronto. I saw this family enjoying the waterfront despite the cloudy day. Luckily there were some patches of blue to be seen. It felt like - 1 C but was actually 4 degrees C

Black-eyed Susans for you. Quote by my dear friend, Shauna whom I’ve known for over 42 years!
"Rudbeckia hirta, commonly called black-eyed Susan, is a North American flowering plant in the sunflower family, native to Eastern and Central North America and naturalized in the Western part of the continent as well as in China." - Wikipedia

I walked along the Waterfront Recreational Trail, a Shared Path in Toronto this morning. The ice is receding and a lot less gulls are on the edge of it in Lake Ontario.

I don’t usually photograph people but sometimes I can’t resist a snap. There was something about this chap as he walked passed determined to meet the elements full on and he looked oblivious to the glorious light overhead. Maybe it didn’t touch his heart this morning, being local he’d seen it all before, or maybe he had other things on his mind, bitter with the world or concerned about loved ones. We could guess all day but all we can do is to give space, acknowledge his presences, be courteous, be mindful, #bekind .
The day improved and I went out for a short walk in my Toronto neighbourhood.

"Let the doctors handle your body. Let GOD/NATURE handle your life. But be in charge of your own moods."
HBM! It was sunny but cold and I took a brisk walk in the Humber Bay Park. Looking out at the Mimico Creek Estuary and wetlands. I felt so energized when I returned home.
Thanks for visiting and doing your part to physically distance, wear a mask. #BeKind
One of these two swans appeared to be trapped in ice,, under the gazebo. I took photos of it when I was walking along the Waterfront Recreational Trail, earlier. On my way back home I saw a man breaking up the ice around the swans, using a long metal pole that is there to be used when rescuing someone! Thanks stranger 🙏
