Another before and after, wow, this one was a lot of work. Gum removal, major skin work, etc. I purposefully underexposed the shot so I wouldn't totally blow the background because I knew I could bring her skin back up in LR.

Blogged!

just a little look at how the previous shot came together :)

I've recently joined a group that shares postprocessing Before and After images.

I'm hoping to learn something :-)

This is my second Before/After.

f5.7; 1/160; ISO 200.

I am aiming for natural looking nature images :-)

Some work with levels and curves.

Levels and dodge & burn on the eye.

A blur filter applied to the background to make the bellbird stand out a bit more.

A stunning side-by-side portrait that explores contrast and identity — half natural, half glam. One side reveals raw softness and vulnerability; the other shines with fierce confidence, glowing skin, and bold red lips. A powerful visual story of transformation, duality, and self-expression.

Split-frame portrait of the same woman — one half with minimal makeup and closed eyes in soft light, the other with bold red lipstick, open eyes, and glowing skin. A visual contrast of natural and polished beauty.

before and after

I stripped all the varnish off, lightly sanded, primed and painted this piece. I was going for a chippy shabby chic look.

I don't normally edit with this heavy of a hand, but I was going for a fun, colorful, rich urban edit on this particular image. Editing is fun!

Week 36: Theme: Before and After.

Winner of the weekly theme.

Hey guys. So because of some freetime here in the holiday, I have chosen to give you some before and after pictures. All the pictures will be edited in Adobe photoshop.

The pictures will not be in a high quality, because i don't know where i can put them together, so they don't loose the quality (please comment if you have a suggestion for a tool).

Else enjoy, comment & of couse fave, so i can keep it up!

DAY ONE: A picture of myself 😉

just felt like sharing

I like the brown and red much better with her eyelids and coloring!

The background in the finished image is actually *my* backyard, lol.
