Although we had some rain, our short holiday in the Sporades islands was nice ! ... I had the chance to see some wild life including Phalacrocorax aristotelis (shags) and my beloved Larus argentatus (Herring gulls); also tried to learn how to make nautical knots. The most interesting thing, in that short holiday, was the sky with its clouds, which were changing almost every half an hour. I took some photos, which I'll upload slowly in the next days. This one was taken before the rain.

It was a time
Of frozen mornings
And barren trees
While I watched
The sky darken
As bit by bit
Pieces of the sun
Cracked
And fell away
It was a time
Of miracles
And changes
A time
When the earth
Once filled with green
Turned snowy white
Much like
The color of my hair
It was a time
When I was alone
In the night
And my thoughts
Filled empty rooms
With voices of those
I had loved
Dancing to
Lost music
It was a time
That I heard
From a distance
My voice repeating
Over and over
And over again
It was a time
It was a time
It was a time

Every morning I'd walk down to the shore of the lake at Panajachel, Guatemala, to enjoy the serenity before the rhythm of the day changed to vibrancy. The only one I met each day was an old dog who initially was not pleased to see me but over the weeks we acquired a quiet respect for each other's space.
Near home a nice place where you can wait for the sunrise. Mirador Punta Comisaria in Taliarte, (Gran Canaria Canary Islands). A shot before sunrise in the “blue hour”. Waves and seagulls are the soundtrack …
This is 3 days before the ice showed up. Starting to have few known spot to shoot sunset. Will need to find place for sunrise, that might be more difficult...in accessing.
I was trying to capture the "Eye on Malaysia" from a different perspective. It turns out to be my favourite shot of the day. :)
Have a nice day my friends.....

This was taken last spring when I could see those beautiful mountains. Currently visability is so poor, due to forest fire smoke, I can not see the mountains, lake or down the hill. With fires buring in the north at Glacier National Park, to the south, east and west we are rather encircled by them.....smoke fills the sky. I don't really see any end in sight until it rains or snows....
Clifton Beach, Tasmania. Actually this surfer girl had just finished her surf session and just after this shot she peeled off her wetsuit, so maybe I should have called it "after the surf"! From a distance though, it looked like she was about to enter the water, but moments after I took this shot, her partner appeared from the surf and that would be what she is looking out towards the water for.
Another shot from The Lake District that I seemed to have overlooked was this one from the Langdale Valley. This was taken shortly before we got caught up in a huge rainstorm and at the time I think I was more excited about posting the shot with the rain rather than this one.
There was some lovely daytime light and the moody clouds looked fantastic, and If you look closely, you can see the rain incoming in the valley between the fells, we got a little bit wet soon after!!
Somehow, people rarely seem to look at the time a photo was taken (even though Flickr shows it rather prominently now). So I thought it might be best to post all the photos of my sheep before the shearing at once. Usually I post with a delay of up to 2 months.
We we're treated to an amazing display of mother natures power as she provided us the power of fork lightening. This picture was just before it all took place.
"...Day after day I look around Second Life and I’m always pleasantly surprised with the amount of detail and effort Designers place into each and everyone of their creations. Second Life has come so far over the past 13 years and I’m so glad I’ve been able to witness almost every second of it!.." READ MORE HERE:
Taken yesterday before the strong winds and rain took off most of the petals, it's a fruition that won't come this season.
Before you speak, ask yourself.
Is it kind
Is it necessary
Is it true
Does it improve on the silence?
