My first panorama with 4 photographies took yesterday. The rain coming from the right side, more clear sky in the left of Shinjuku.
No Diamond-Fuji like we can expect one's a year ,from Tokyo, when the sun come just in the top of the fujiyama.I saw it only on TV,but who Knows...
Took from the 60 th floor of the Sunshine City building in Ikebukuro,Tokyo.
I used photoshop elements 10 to put together the 4 photos.

I finally got the chance for a few nights this month on this wonderful target: A beautiful, if faint, emission nebula between Cepheus and Lacerta and probably my favourite nebula to date - The very small planetary nebula (bottom left) is Abell 79. Abell 79, "The 6 Nebula", is estimated to be at a distance of 5900 to 11,360 lys away. It measures approx 1 arc minute and is magnitude 15. Sh2-132 lies at an estimated distance of about 10,000-12,000 lys and is ca. 40 arc minutes in size. The image also contains the very small planetary nebula G101.5-00.6, which lies to the right of the blue O-III region.

Water detail: The interplay of light with the structures on and beneath the surface of running water is, for me, simply entrancing ...
Dancing, leaping, sweeping past,
The clear light quietly sings.
Shall I touch the light that keeps the memory:
Take you in my hand, my pebbles in the water?
Where was the light, when I was a child?

I survive.
Unremarked,
The fires of the long day fade.

Without arms,
My thoughts I would willingly cast away.
Tomorrow awaits.

That, which might have been.

This castle was the summer home of the Bavarian (southern Germany) King in the mid 1800's. The castle is called Hohenschwangau with Schwansee (Swan Lake) in the foreground and, yes, there is some link to Wagner's opera of the same name. Alps in the background.

**********************
This is part of an evolving photo-project, which will probably continue throughout the summer of 2008, and perhaps beyond: a random collection of "interesting" people in a broad stretch of the Upper West Side of Manhattan -- between 72nd Street and 104th Street, especially along Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue.
I don't like to intrude on people's privacy, so I normally use a telephoto lens in order to photograph them while they're still 50-100 feet away from me; but that means I have to continue focusing my attention on the people and activities half a block away, rather than on what's right in front of me.
I've also learned that, in many cases, the opportunities for an interesting picture are very fleeting -- literally a matter of a couple of seconds, before the person(s) in question move on, turn away, or stop doing whatever was interesting. So I've learned to keep the camera switched on (which contradicts my traditional urge to conserve battery power), and not worry so much about zooming in for a perfectly-framed picture ... after all, once the digital image is uploaded to my computer, it's pretty trivial to crop out the parts unrelated to the main subject.
For the most part, I've deliberately avoided photographing bums, drunks, drunks, and crazy people. There are a few of them around, and they would certainly create some dramatic pictures; but they generally don't want to be photographed, and I don't want to feel like I'm taking advantage of them. I'm still looking for opportunities to take some "sympathetic" pictures of such people, which might inspire others to reach out and help them. We'll see how it goes ...
The only other thing I've noticed, thus far, is that while there are lots of interesting people to photograph, there are far, far, *far* more people who are *not* so interesting. They're probably fine people, and they might even be more interesting than the ones I've photographed ... but there was just nothing memorable about them.

A Wood Anemone (Anemone nemorosa) in the wonderful afternoon light …

"The wild beauty of imperfection: every thread a thought, every nuance an emotion, dancing together in the wind of life."
Beauty in the details
I love to enlarge my shots to get lost in the details that nature gives to everything. Thin lines, textures invisible to a distracted glance, small wonders that tell silent stories.
The same happens with people. In gestures, glances, ways of doing things, precious details are hidden, traces of their inner light or its absence. I love to capture those nuances, because they often reveal more than a thousand words.
For me, photography means exactly this: capturing a light. A light that exists everywhere, whether it is in a flower illuminated by the sun or in someone who chooses to cultivate the best of themselves.
Everything has its own beauty, you just need to know how to observe it.
And you? What details fascinate you the most in the world around you?

The Wishing Well Cluster, formally known as NGC 3532, is a breathtaking open star cluster nestled in the southern constellation of Carina, lying about 1,300 light-years from Earth. With over 400 stars densely packed into its luminous heart, it spans a region roughly 50 light-years across, shimmering like a scattering of silver coins—hence its poetic nickname. The cluster contains a rich mix of hot blue giants and older, cooler stars, and it gleams with such brightness that it is easily visible to the naked eye under the dark Namibian skies.
NGC 3532 lies in a star-forming region of the Milky Way, surrounded by a vibrant complex of emission nebulae and molecular clouds. Among these are the RCW 54b, 54c, and 54d regions—dense knots of glowing hydrogen gas within the larger RCW 54 complex. Each of these nebulae is a cradle of ongoing star formation, rich in ionized gas and dust, energized by the ultraviolet radiation from hot young stars.
RCW 54d is a relatively compact, bright region, (upper Left), appearing like a glowing ember embedded in the interstellar medium. It is likely powered by a small group of O or B-type stars buried within.
RCW 54c extends more diffusely, (left hand side), with wispy filaments and darker dust lanes weaving throughout. The gas flows towards the bottom of the image hinting at complex magnetic fields and turbulent gas dynamics.
RCW 54b, the most nebulous and irregular of the group, (right hand side) is partially obscured by foreground dust but still radiates a soft, ruddy hue. It may be in an earlier or less active phase of stellar birth than its siblings.
Together, the Wishing Well Cluster and the surrounding RCW 54b–d nebulae form a jewel-like tableau in the Carina region, where the galaxy’s spiral arm folds into a corridor rich with gas, dust, and stellar activity. The entire field of view is a tapestry of light and structure, revealing the chaotic beauty of a galaxy alive with stellar creation ...

There’s a thrill in unraveling the layers of understanding
a beautiful way to wander through this world
to glimpse the unseen
to pause and feel something shift
She came seeking inspiration through photos
and for a fleeting moment
I saw her in a way I never had before
bold, radiant, unexpected
A zebra
Not just in black and white
but in all the hidden hues that live between the lines
I hope she sees what I saw
I hope she sees herself
wild, rare, and wholly alive
Look closer
The world whispers more than it shows
