Captured at Aqaba. Jordan's famous Port and Holiday Resort, known for it's beautiful Coral Reef's. This Beautiful Mosque lay directly outside my Hotel room and once the Prayer Calling began (AGAIN !!) I couldn't help but get my camera out. Half asleep that is though.

The Abu Darwish mosque is one of Amman's most distinguished buildings, a beautiful piece of Islamic architecture strikingly constructed of alternating layers of black and white stone. It was built in 1961 under King Hussein.
The mosque stands on a hilltop site in a mainly Palestinian quarter that overlooks the city centre . From here we made a steep descent via various residential streets into the heart of the metropolis.

The Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Mosque in Abu Dhabi is the largest mosque in the UAE and the 8th largest mosque in the world. It is named after the first president of the UAE who died in 2004 and is also buried here. Read more: beautifulmosques.com/?p=364

The Umayyad Mosque.
This famous Mosque can be found in Syria's Capital City, Damascus. It is one of the most famous and holiest in the world. Umayyad Mosque is unique in it's engineering, architecture and decorations. Umayyad's design inspired arcitects for many centuries.
This Beautiful Mosque was built by the Umayyad Caliph Al-Walid ben Abdul Maek. It features four doors, three minarets, four halls, three domes in the courtyard, solar clock and a astronomical clock.

The Straits Mosque, Melaka or Masjid Selat Melaka or Floating Mosque Melaka, is a mosque on the man-made island of Pulau Melaka near Malacca Town in Malacca state, Malaysia. It looks like a floating structure if the water level is high. The cost of the mosque is about MYR10 million. Abu Derwish Mosque is one of the beautiful mosques of Amman, Jordan. It was built in 1961 on top of one of Amman’s seven hills, Jebel al-Ashrafiyeh. Its alternating black and white stones draw on traditional Levantine architecture. The mosque is clearly visible from other hills around Amman.
It can accommodate more than 7000 (?) worshipers.
