HUD included with several textures for chanigng each eye colour individually, wall colours, and frame colours. Perfect for any spooky house for a bit of creepyness on the walls. I do recommend this piece for spooky houses this Halloween.

After posting La Habana Flirteo, La Habana Sensualidad and La Habana Belleza, a lot of people have been stunned by the fashion of Havana :)
Today I venture past traditional confines of street photography and bring you an “indoor street” shot. It features a unique scene inside one of the beauty salons in Havana, where the making of fashionistas takes place.
*For those who would like to avoid technical spoilers, stop reading now*
The indoor lighting was super challenging: fluorescent lighting overhead giving an ugly cast, tungsten lamp on the left over-saturating skin tones, late afternoon light pouring in from outside giving its own color temperature, TV screen switching luminance levels quickly from scene to scene, three wall mirrors directly reflecting the street behind me overpowered by sunlight, one beautician wearing all white, another beautician in deep purple, Marilyn Monroe black-and-white poster picking up color casts from LED strip lights around the mirrors.
Miraculously, the amazing sensor in the Sony RX1R rescued it all. Even at ISO3200, the compromised dynamic range headroom was still sufficient to recover the blown highlights, plus allowing the restoration of tonal and color fidelity at the time of shooting.
Compositionally, it was a challenging scenario too: one set of characters on the left, another on the right, a kid swinging on the stair railing reflected in the middle mirror, two side wall-mirrors reflecting excessive information, Marilyn poster behind a tray of styling tools, shifting human gestures, all while being told I had ONE MINUTE to get the shot and then get out!
Basically, I had a very short window to arrange at least 36 elements in this scene so the result would be compositionally balanced. For those who like exploring multiple layers and complex elements, I think you'll be pleased by all parts falling into their own little grids, zones and intersecting points.
More importantly, after enjoying the compositional flow, I hope you'll be left with the emotional transactions to ponder over. Anyone noticing the anxiety, exuberance, boredom?

The Park Lane Hotel in London was hosting an exhibition of iconic David Bailey Photographs, which I’d gone to view with 3 other photo-friends. It was fairly quiet in the bar and I saw Rachel enjoying a beer with her (male) friend. We were feeling thirsty and before too long the 6 of us were chatting away – ½ hour spent in excellent and amusing company.
Rachel is a beautician, having studied at College. She lives in Kent but travels regularly into London by train for work. She has two children – boy and girl. When asked to guess her age, I was only 2 years out but won’t reveal it on Flickr (!)
I asked what she felt was her proudest achievement and she replied straight away “...my 2 children” – quite a common response I’ve found with this 100 Strangers Project.
I also asked Rachel what her favourite piece of music was – and “Sacrifice” by Elton John was the immediate choice!
Rachel had no problem with her photo being taken. I took 3 and the one I’ve posted is the one she approved of. I handed my Flickr details over and Emailed the photos a couple of days later. The indoor low-light was fairly challenging so I opened up the lens, which also helped to blur some of the distracting lighting in the background.
Thanks Rachel for being part of my project to photograph 100 strangers

Seeker: [First Time blogging] [Hunt Prize] Shoes! Glorious Shoes! You can never have enough of these. (Sorry, couldn't come up with something to replace Hot sausage, and mustard). Anyway! Love them, beautiful texturing, three different parts of the shoes are texture change via HUD and completely lovely colours to choose form on these as well. I went for something to stand out on the background a little bit more and to complement the coat. These certainly were exactly what I was looking for. Great hunt prize to choose. I do adore these so much they're now in my OOC shoe folder for when I'm at home!
Evil Baby: [First Time Blogging] SPOODER! Honestly, it's more funny if you can see the face I'm making when I'm typing the word 'spooder'. I say hear the voice, but my flu has taken my voice away almost -sniffles-. This was gifted to me by my friend Viveca, (Thank you Viv! MWAH!!!!!) she needed cheering up, so I sent her off to the early access of Hallow Manor, and not long after her arrival, this was arriving to me. Anyone who knows me, know I adore spiders, I am one of the many human advocates for spiders and keeping them alive. Keeping indoor spiders indoors. I love this plushie, I can't get enough of it, it's adorable, and it's simply perfect, it was on my shopping list. I can't stop saying that I love it. I do, it's a Spooder for a Spooder Kitty!
BamPu Legacies: [First Time Blogging] Beautiful decorations, simply fantastic, these really are great for this time of year. I think they're perfect, the sign is available in three different sizes. I think I'm using the small or medium sign. They did sit quite nicely with this church. Pumpkin is nicely rotten, with moths and bugs on it. It's awesome! Again, you can't see the awesome face I'm making at the thought of this pumpkin! One thing I really love. Milk Urns as flower pots, you want my attention, then put flowers into a milk urn and you've got it. These, even sticks like they are, are fantastic and I very much love them! Buy this set for you all year round decorations!
ArisAris B&W: [First Time Blogging] [Hunt Prize #03] Lanterns! These made me laugh when I saw them, they're full of so much fun, I hope the creator had as much fun in creating them as I did camming around them and enjoying them. Brilliant prize. I've not resized them, you do get two different sizes, they are a great hunt Prize and they do give a lovely amount of glow in the area around them as well, just as the pumpkin from above does. They really are such characters, I'd loved to have done more with them in these but they are copy only, I wasn't able to resize them or you would have seen miniature ones as well. Go for this as a prize, fun never stops with them, and they put a smile on your face, such beautiful texturing and detail. Certainly a must have.

In the waiting area of a barber salon, a man staring at the art work on the wall. A woman dressed in the same color happened to pass by at the same moment on the street outside.
Since this image was made inside a barber salon, it arguably also belongs to the mini-series ”Havana Beauty", which features portrait of a beautician in ”Salón de Belleza", featuring kaleidoscope of fashion colours in Turistas, inner workings of beauty salons in Salón and Spa de Uñas, plus Havana women ornamented with amazing nails in “Kiss Me” and “Homogeneización”.
The 35mm Zeiss Sonnar on RX1R was stretched to the limit in terms of field of view, color depth and tonal range. In an almost impossible situation to balance the fluorescent lighting inside the shop and the natural light outside, let alone other challenging elements like skin tones and fluorescent color cast, the Sony sensor pulls through once again. Proper color and tonal adjustments were able to be made without sacrificing dynamic range, retaining the human figure outside a few stops higher in exposure, while restoring the actual colours of the art work without sacrificing skin tone. The Zeiss lens has so much microcontrast that even the art work featured has the magical "3D pop."
Compositionally, the man was minimized as much as possible, to the extent of partial cropping to emphasize the size and scale of the art work on the wall. A figure of a passer-by was captured at the decisive moment when she enters the window frame inside the frame to provide a sense of depth. The result is an image that provides not just a primary tension between the art work and its protagonist, but a secondary interplay between our main character and a random person on the street.

driftwood - First time blogging driftwood, I really thought I'd blogged before, I love the wooden creations from this store, they're nice pieces, very well meshed out and sit perfectly for any setting. Fitting into all genres for roleplay sims as well. this is my favourite set so far. I love the geometric design placed upon this, the different colour schemes available in the pack means they really can fit almost anywhere and everywhere.

Aviva Peanuts Trophies

"Never underestimate the effect of a pretty face."
1960s, Hong Kong
In the 1960s through the 1980s, the Aviva Toy Company made a wide range of licensed Peanuts products, from diecast vehicles to wind-up. Many of their offerings were quite creative in design and style.
One of the more uniquely interesting Peanuts lines Aviva produced were the trophies. A surprisingly large line, these 'trophies' consisted of a flat plastic scene with a Peanuts character, usually Snoopy, and a metal plaque in an insert in the plastic base below. The plaque had a short quote particular to the reason for the gift or something silly and amusing.
These were marketed as gifts and were found in gift shops or the gift card section of department stores.
Because the plaques were not secured in the insert, they are often missing in Aviva Peanuts Trophies found today in second hand venues.

I fell in love, not just easy falling in love, but in love so much that I went to Belleza and purchased the Jake body so that I could blog this item. I had even set up the scene I wanted for it before the creator agreed and sent me the corset. You have to go to Vintage Fair, and this is certainly at the top of the list for men to purchase, it really is a stunning Corset. You can wear it with or without the shrug as well. Even the shrug without the corset. Mens must have!
Dirty Rat - First time Blogging! This entire Art Deco set is stunning, it really does remind me of a society Gentlemen's Club, it's well detailed, well crafted, the texturing is simply beautiful and mirrors lovely with the table. This piece is all round wonderful. If you like what you see, then buy it at Vintage Fair and love it. I certainly have.
[ContraptioN] - First time Blogging! While these are in the main store and not at Vintage Fair, this store is at Vintage Fair. I have added them down here for a little information on how I got the trousers to fit beneath the corset without clipping. For anyone trying to pull off the corset and already owning the trouser set. I used the Belleza Jake Body for this, and the Belleza Jake Corset. However! I used the Signature Geralt A Tucked trousers to stop the buttons clipping through the bottom of the corset. All in all it works out well for a perfect blend both back and front when using these trousers. I am wearing the Jake Boots with this however.

NAMINOKE: [First Time blogging] These are fantastic little eyeballs on poppies, I think they're adorable, certainly something for a little bit of fun in decoration, endless creations on avatars can be made with these. I've watched a number of blogs going up, each on unique in its own way of how to use them, what sort of character creation to put them with. I really love these and they come in a few different colours as well. I went with the blue because it matched what I was already working on, I knew one of the finishing touches had to be these eyeballs. Fun crazyness on a new avatar look. Go with these, they're superb!
Cakebatter: [First Time Blogging] [Hunt Prize] For this I used the headband which is the exclusive item at Hallow Manor, and the wand which is the hunt Prize. Headband is in two versions, rigged and unrigged, which is brilliant. I used the rigged version of this and it does sit nicely on the LeLutka heads, I did try it on multiple heads and I found no problem (this does not mean to say it is rigged to LeLutka). This really is great if you want the cute fairytale type of tooth fairy look, or you want to go for the more macabre version. Grab this set, it really is brilliant and items can be used for roleplay or any future blogging as well.

I'm going to talk about the top first. This top is fantastic and it comes with a great HUD too. What I love about this HUD is that firstly it had four style options. Two styles are as you see above with the hole in the middle, but the other version has pointed nipples. I chose the rounded version because I'm not a fan of nipples pointing through clothing. Your second option doesn't feature the boob hole, but also supports nipples and rounded version, which I find fantastic.
Another part of this top, which I can't stop playing with to be honest. I'm loving it, and it features on the necklace. Unfortunately I was wearing long hair in this shoot, but at the back of the top is beads, a good few beads as well, and you can have all the beads the same colour, as the necklace offers too, but what is amazing is that on the HUD is a picture of a dice and it says 'shuffle'. hit that shuffle button and you get so many variations of the beads, different colours and set going along. So far I've not had any repeats. This is an option to sit and play with. Don't over click, because if you find an option to work with your colour, it'll be a long while before that appears again!
Head over to the FaMESHed 11th birthday round and grab this top, while you're there, head to the gift section and nab the free gift necklace too. Also at the booth you can find the shorts I'm wearing in the photo above, this is an outfit that goes great together.
Next up, there's the *Prima* body, I really do love this body, I think it is completely stunning, beautifully rounded, beautifully shaped. There are three versions of the body, and you can't go wrong with either one of them. There's the perky version, we all know the perky boobs that many other bodies have offered, and offer. you'll want those perky boobs. Next up you have the beautiful curves of the Busty version of the body, who doesn't love to have nice beautiful round breasts, sitting nicely, big, not too big, not small, just sitting right. Finally you have the Elite, which is the body I use. This body is actually the Perky, and busty versions combined together. you can beautifully create your perky shape onto this body as well as getting the beautiful big girl look at a different time when you want too. No need to buy two different bodies when you can combine in one!

Vae Victis: [First Time Blogging] I love horns, I own so many horns I never know what is what these days. While I was putting this look together I was in a call with my RL sister and we were stood on my studio together, she loved them, she loved the colouring and everything on these horns. At least I know what to gift her. It was my sister who helped me put this look together. I have a lot of thanks to her too. Thank you Rose! These horns are super brilliant, and have a large variety of colours to choose from for both horns and banners. I loved putting it all together. Anyone who loves horns, any Demons out there, get yourself these, I'm wearing the small version, but they also come in Medium, and Large. Buy them!
Magnetic: [First Time Blogging] This is one thing that gives me nightmares RL. I don't do severed heads, head decapitation, I can't deal with it, but I pushed that aside and tried not to close my eyes while taking pictures of this. It seemed to fit right in there, and once again it was an input by my sister who was going crazy over this severed head that I managed to attach to my hand. I guess that's something else I will be gifting her during the event time as well. If you love horror like me, and you want to have some fun come costume day, but yourself a severed head!
