This cute little cub always hitched a ride from mom, even when she wasn't thrilled about it! It stuck to her like Velcro, which became it's nickname :) Happy Bear With Me Monday!

I am taking a break from my Costa Rica photos to bring you a few holiday photos. I was super excited to get this photo and couldn't wait to put it for Christmas. A cinnamon black bear cub taken in Yellowstone National Park.
Mom was standing up to get a better look at another sow and cubs when her little cub stood up to do the same. So cute! Happy Bear With Me Monday!
My favorite bear experience was with these cubs. Mother was busy refueling while they wandered about, often begging her for some nourishment. The night had been stormy with lots of rain and they were soaked and dirty. Was delightful watching them.
Both cubs were adorable but the rare white-phase black bear cub was a serendipitous treat.

This funny little cub ran away with the fish then ran back to where Mom and Tuffs were, then took off again, very excited to have its own fish. Along the way It would trip, get back up and go again, you could feel the sheer excitement of this little guy.
This cub was told to climb to safety in the tree and that's just what it did. Good cub!
Bear With Me Monday!
My friend Anthony has been following this cub since its first days out of the den. We have searched for the cub multiple times last night we got lucky. A tiny 1st year cub it survives alone in this big world without its Mom or sibling. Last fall the Mom was hit by a car which left two little cubs to survive on their own, a miracle happened they made it through the winter. Then the unspeakable happened the sibling named Tux was also hit by car. So now this little cub Anthony named Ghost is rarely seen it is figuring out the world alone. It appears healthy and very cautious of people and cars, which are perfect survival tools!

Andean Bear (Tremarctos ornatus) cub named "Agapito" born in the early hours of January 8, 2020 . The cub is the first offspring for 5-year old mom "Alba" and 10-year old father "Turbo". He is the first Andean bear cub born at the San Diego Zoo since 1993 and already a little furry super star. Conservation Status: Vulnerable
