If only we're brave enough to see it. If only we're brave enough to be it. [Amanda Gorman]
Still deeply impressed and inspired by the words of this amazing young poetess.

“Dragonflies are reminders that we are light and we can reflect light in powerful ways if we choose to do so.”
― Robyn Nola
I discovered this dragonfly nymph shell up at the lake this past August. Dragonflies are one of my favourite insects, and until recently, I didn’t realize that they went through a transformation (metamorphosis) similar to butterflies. Beautiful symbolism.

deep bass notes
dark sacred night
dark of the moon
purest stillness
falling snow
ancient awe
stars aglow
sacred gifts to gather our peace.
peace all around us
peace within us
every breath a prayer for peace
every breath a prayer of gratitude
shhhh ... find the still place within
tonight we may dream of faraway drumbeats
in the morning we will know a secret..
it was mother nature's wakening heartbeat
the sound of Light returning
so we take this peace
gathered in the stillness of winter solstice
and spread it like seeds in the warming ground *

(Swedish nickname: Köllera) One of seven installations during the event Lights in Alingsås 2019 – the theme of the year is "Be the Light". The pond is a part of the Nolhaga Park.
Workshop head: Erin Slaviero, United Arab Emirates.
"In a world where many negative things surround us, positive energy becomes fragile and easy to forget. The energy that the installation has, is woven, bent and unexpectedly appears from all directions.
It is a reminder to take the energy that surrounds us and pass it on to others to make a positive change. A change that can carry and affect others no matter how many months and years have passed since the visit to Alingsås."
Every year in september/october leading international lighting designers come to Alingsås to hold a week´s workshop. The participants came this year from 27 countries around the world. Together they light a number of locations around the town centre. More than 80,000 visitors every year walk the spectacular lighting trail or participate in events associated with the festival.

"Being one with the universe, our planet earth. This is not a new concept, but it actually has a name "Gaia", a phrase from ancient Greece. The effects and importance of this cannot be more relevant than in the modern society we live in today. We cannot deny that the planet is a living organism that we exert in an extremely unfavorable way. Mother Tree is a visualization of this synergy, with light, feel the feeling, Be The Light!"

"The source is the beginning of everything. It is the source of the flow that gives energy and light to all living things. It also represents the beginning of the journey towards the unknown and what is yet to come.
A fascinating discovery has shown that all mammals emit photons, or rather bio-photons, the energy that turns into light. Researchers have been able to show that the amount of bio-photons can be linked to the degree of consciousness in different animals.
This could mean that the higher the level of consciousness we humans have, the more light we emit."

We, who passionately created this light installation together, hope that you as a visitor will leave this installation enriched by an experience that will make you feel more connected and more belonging to our planet than you did before."

What do you see? I'm fairly certain it is not the same as me. Art stirs up something different in us all.
When you are your own muse, it makes creating more simple and difficult all at the same time. The plus side you always have a model. The down side you must look past your own flaws and embrace the beauty.
Come join us and explore what makes you beautiful:

"Light is life! The Sun transmits its energy to manifest itself as Life! The installation is an attempt to depict a timed experience of a day compressed into a two minute sequence. The timeline is interspersed with a background sound from the life that rises with the rising sun. The changing light quality throughout the day eventually turns into the sunset and provides calm. Other life forms express themselves visually and feel bold in the dark. Light energy maintains life."

仏塔 四天王寺
When everything around you looks grey. The sky, the walls, the faces of the people, the general mood and even the future. Then try to remember the more colourful moments in your life and start planning to live some more. Then you can shine and radiate more than grey.

"When the eye receives light, it captures all the events and experiences we encounter. As has been said before, it is the mirror of our soul.
Our installation is the heart of Nolhaga Park, it thrives on social activity. The central fountain is reminiscent of a scene and waiting for the performance to begin.
The artwork in the fountain is a metaphorical mirror, we believe this reflects the soul of the place. We invite visitors to reflect on the importance of leading others into the light while ensuring that they do not obscure it from others."

You never know how it's gonna play out when you get up close to a stranger with that big Nikon goin' 'chikeesh... chickeesh... chickeesh.'
You just gotta have faith and all the love vibes in your heart that you can.
It gives you the right 'mojo.'
It defies all conventional thinking I swear to gahd.
And the more badass lookin' the person is that you do it to the better.
It almost always works out really well.
You can feel the love.
