~ I wanted to post a simple picture of a “regular/normal look” so I went through some new poses and tried to find the perfect one. As usual, I couldn’t find the perfect pose/angle/area of our home, so I decided to wait and see if one I took would pop out to me while editing. As I scanned the 5-6 different photos with different poses and angles of my house, I realized my favorite one was with my husband, Kahiau in the background. I love taking “candid” SL photos and I call these candid because they are spur of the moment memories with people maybe not knowing I am capturing the moment... And i find it hilarious and adorable that Kahiau always seems to get in the background or even right in front of me without realizing I’m trying to take a pic. Needless to say, there was no denying that this was THE pic. I reminded myself, these pictures do not have to be perfect, and that there will always be something to edit, or something that maybe someone does not like, but that does not matter! All that matters is that I’m having fun, enjoying myself in the moment, creating my own “art” and saving memories such as this one, even as simple as it was. It sure makes me laugh, seeing my bloody-skeleton skinned husband standing behind me in our home while I’m dressed super normal and that’s why it’s the perfect pic for me. #HaveFun #MakeMemories #BeSilly <3

Rio Vermelho - Casa de Iemanjá - Grande festa de dois de fevereiro

Nestur is the second son of Besil and whereas his brother Staffen got all the business acumen, Nestur is the warrior of the family. Sent off to the mainland to learn his craft, he fought in many of the civil wars that plagued Historica and his mercenary company earned many riches for the Conzaga family coffers.

In addition to gold, his time at war brought back a lot of information on the other Historican factions which will be invaluable for expanding the family trade links.

Having never married, he has no children, and is much more likely to be found in taverns with low company than at the family vinyards.

In his prime Besil kept the Conzaga family going during the troubles between the de Fioris, Amancios, Chiaros and Baiamontes. A deft hand was required to prevent being crushed in the civil wars and assassinations that took place during the worst of those years.

A quiet unassuming man Besil largely kept the family out of sight and never flaunted his wealth, gently expanding the family business and buying up local competitors.

Now in his twilight years, Besil has handed the Conzaga family affairs over to his eldest son Staffen to manage, looking forward to a quiet life.

Staffen has asked that his father have his likeness immortalised in the Conzaga family crypts, something the modest Besil does with reluctance.

This very colorful house was quite close to the first flat we rented on Spengergasse in Vienna...

translated it would be something like; Lesbian and Gay(male) house!

I walked past it almost daily, but only ventured in once for a Krügel glass of nice Austrian Beer (perhaps I had two glasses can´t remember?) but the time I was there was rather boring, since it was only me and the barmaid, but I do remember that I looked out the window and saw this wonderful city in the middle of Europe and I started crying silently while drinking the beer, exactly where I aways wanted to live, only that I didn´t know that someone had created a city so much in my stile...

Café Frequenters Episode 202

------------------------------------------

the night is humid, the foreigner walked down by the river, summer, in his hand a bottle of Ottakringer in his other hand a Winston cigarette....

Walking at random, no he was following the canal, on a hunt, on a hunt to find his place, he had walked past a few brothels, very easy to recognize, locked up behind doors, windows all covered up, often with glowing lights, often painted heart outside, just like in Copenhagen, he thought, if is probably the same design all over the world?

No the sign this character was looking for in the nights darkness was of a different sort, he was looking for a Logo, most of all he wanted to see a glowing logo of his favorite beer glowing in the night, that was Ottakringer, but really Gösser, Zwettler. Trumler, Morenbrau, Stiegl or Kaiser would do... even a foster sign would be great...

But then again Foster sign he only saw once, on the other side of town, Yes it was an Australian pub, Johnny didn´t like foster or that crock-beer, but still it was nice to talk english for once at the pub and any beer could be swallowed, wine, whiskey, gin, anything... anything with any containing alcohol.

He, laughed to him self when he thought ok One think I won´t drink again is that brown wine Mack had sold him in the park in Sweden, that tasted exactly as it looked, luke warm and in a plastic bottle, but then again it only cost him 10 Swedish Squids!

what was that up a head another glowing object, to far yet to tell if it was a bar brother or something else!

Yes! it is true, it is an Ottakriger beer sign, great this walk started getting rather long, I guess I am almost in Floridsdorf now, he thought to himself...

...he carefully tried to open the door, it had happened before that the door would be locked, that would be the worst, so close to the finishing line...

...as always he made a quick scanning of the place, mostly men, 50-65 three Women 45-55

Atmos: Friendly, laughing but a bit dull... ok great this place fits him... he goes over to the barmaid and says: Morgen, Herr-frau Ober "Een" Krügel vom fass und eine kleiner whiskey bitte!

people around the bar was laughing, Johnny knew that this wasn´t correct German, but it worked and often got some laughs...

...he started zipping the whiskey and drunk a quarter then he needed to empty the bladder and since the toilet was right next to the jukebox he put q Euro in it and pressed for some Abba and some Falco, that would always make things go a bit more party at in pubs in Vienna...

when he went to the sleazy loo he tried to listen to the voice outside, he could hear some words, like foreign, gay, amusing!

Great Johnny thought to himself...

When he came back a really heavy man and a thin older man had started to dance to the Abba music one miming to Agneta´s lines... Johnny wiggled his hips aa bit when walking to his barstool again...

when he came back he the fat man also sat down next to him then he asked in German:

Hello Young man, where are you from, are you a tourist or do you live here...

Johnny replied: Hello Older man, I come from Sweden...

The man said the standard phrase: But you are not blond and has blond hair...

Johnny who was rather tired to debate or explain to Austrians that not all Swedes are blond and blue-eyed just replied I am mixed, English and a tint of Jewish and more...

by then the jukebox had started the next tune, Falcos Jeanny Johnny Knew very well that this specific tunes was one that people often liked to debate and talk about, so now the thin older man joined their company...

He said: Falco, He was one sad man, I knew him, well I used to bump in to him on bars...

Now Johnny had all he wanted, Whiskey, beer, cigarettes, music, company and a conversation...

----

Jimmy Pulled the page out of his typewriter he loathed it, he spat at it then took a lighter and put it aflame... Why is it so hard to write a good story...

he took a new fresh white paper put it in the machine and started...

Johnny was walking down the river one quite humid and dark summer night....

He stopped, threw the paper in the bin, felt his chin, oh he started to have a beard, no good for an säpo ex-agent, he took his Whiskey bottle to his cramped tiny toilet and started shaving in stead....

this is me and Christa at the opening night at the Xeno pub in Vienna where I was exhibiting...

it must have been somewhere around 2011-2013?

Café Frequenters Episode 140

--------------------------------------------

chapter eight:

...their leader spoke up, his voice was hollow but mighty, kind of like when a modern despot hold a speech and he knows that the people are only listening to him because they are more or less at gunpoint of his soldiers and have to listen...

...in other words he wanted to speak like a man with a cause, inner strength and power, but his hollow soul made all the might seem rather dull and un-improvised...

His first words were:

- Any silly mortal in this room who utters a tiny audio-word or move a pinky without me asking for it will end up like this punk right next to me!

Then he made a pause, kind of to let the rules he was dictating sink in to the minds of his unwilling audience and perhaps because he wanted to see if there was any challenges on his unwritten decree!

...then a second smattering salvo of words reached the eardrums of this mixed bunch of people inhabiting the pub...

He said: We are sent by our Lord, that is not the same Lord as you read about in your Bibles, Korans or what ever your kind of people read at home...

Our Lord is real, he is of flesh and bone one of us, but still far more sophisticated that any of you maggots here or any other sentient creature walking this world...

...at this point Jimmy thought about asking if they were sent by the Daemon, but he didn´t want to risk Gorans life and besides, the Daemon wasn´t made out of flesh and bones...

outside of Jimmy´s head the speech carried on...

-...he is not a man of hate, even though his actions sometimes means eradicating whole ethnic groups, he only does that because he has to, he has to do that to protect us, and most importantly himself...

but fear not tiny fecal parasites...

No one will be hurt, we just seek one person...

now Crni-Goran interupted:

-Yes, I know it is me you want, I am late with my supply bills again, well, not bills butt, butt, the underworld mafia lords want me to pay...

more was not said by Goran, since the speaker interrupted him...

- Silly Man we are not sent to get old mafia debts, what do you take us for...

and anyway didn´t I tell you not to interrupt me, do you really wan´t to end up like that poor Sod on the floor?

Jimmy feared that there would be even more bloodshed or even worst that this underground pear of drunken-culture would go lost or that one of his only true friends Goran would get hurt...

He stepped out of the Audience crowd and said:

-it is me you want, I will follow you willingly as long as you don´t hurt the establishment or it´s inhabitants more than you already has...

(...)

Hello Thord here is another chapter, we were past your job the other day, me and Jones, we were going to shoot some pub-pool so we thought that you might join us but at the diner they said that you had been ill for some days... so here you will get something to read while you fight the snot and germs...

Take Care!

P.S.! I thought Jones the rules of Danish Pin and already when I was teaching him het bet me by miles...

The Queen does her monthly state finances calculation...

- Hey Squire!

- Yes Madame!

- Could you get the carriers to get the chests containing all the books on the state grain and the book containing the Lords debt and profits...

...I don´t understand it, when Henry did this once a month he had so much fun, I can´t get to pleasure in counting golden coins, gems, silver...

- Yes, Madame, well, he used a whole lot of wine, when doing these choirs, actually we had to recount everything after him, since, the first notes where quite ok, I mean order in the numbers a rows, and the math was rather ok... but in the end of the book keeping books, there were just scribbles and ink blots who looked like those so called: "abstract" paintings the mage tried to sell for gold claiming it was art, but nonfigurative!

- Oh I don´t think I will drink, this is the peoples money I owe it to my people to be sober when I calculate the state finances!

A drunk Price Albert stumbles and fumbles in to the room...

- Mein Wunderschöne sccchmucke, meein (hiccups) sccchatze is counting the treasure! You are so beautiful, could I have some money ze Wein is running dry!

- Guard, Escort my husband out of this room, I told you not to let anyone in and especially not him... Escort him to the Kings Arms they have a happy hour now, let him drink on my tab, until I am done with this boring choir!

I just need to get him out of my way... how did he get here by the way?

- Yes Madame. I will take him there, well how he got here, he sneaked past us, he was climbing the foliage clinging tho the castle wall...

- Oh Mein Liebling, The Kings arms, Hiccups! my favorite besil, kneipe, I just wunder why are that pub called after Henries arms, Why not his beard! I löve you mein Liebling!

- Yes I love you to Bertie (whispering to her self: when he is sober) see you tomorrow, have a good time down the pub!

- Madam, shall we really give him free access to all that wine, he is going to talk to the diplomats tomorrow...!

- Eh, well get him to drink some water when he passes out, that usually help...

Now where was I? Yes I was counting the revenue from the lords, 1200 Pounds, plus, 375 doubles and 39 shillings!

I love this tiny house in a big wasteland in the urban Vienna, perhaps it is the remains of a village once outside Vienna?

Scan of an analog photo taken in August 1995

The big wooden crucifix, hanging over the altar, was created in the 15th century.

San Petronio, a minor basilica, dominates the Piazza Maggiore. It is dedicated to St. Petroius who was a bishop of Bologna in the 5th century. Contrary to most medieval churches with west-east orientation, San Petronio was built in north-south orientation with the main altar in the south instead of the east. With the enormous dimensions – lenght 132 m, width 60 m, vault height 45 m – San Petronio is the 5th largest church in the world. The enclosed space of 258.000 square meters makes it the largest brick church ever built.

The facade was designed by Domenico da Varignana and started in 1538 by Giacomo Ranuzzi. Although many artists had provided plans the the completion of the facade, it remained unfinished.
