Monday 7-1's challenge was signs, it is kind of a super simple challenge so not really a challenge but the whole point of the daily topics is that I get out and shoot! :)

Mrs. Patricia Edwards from Kids in My Kitchen was the presenter for this particular Summer Reading Program. She read the kids a story called The Butter Man and had couscous for everyone.
Of course I had long exposures as the challenge for July 4th! This was my first time shooting fireworks and the wind helped to create some very cool effects!

WIT: This was not my original idea, but I was playing around with some flora shots in Corel Painter and I like how this one turned out. It is the head of very large and very dead sunflower. I shot up close and then applied a pastel drawing in Corel Painter. I liked how the colors came out in all those nooks and crannies.
