I'm healing quickly from Sunday's bike accident but I think the many bruises will be around for a while. This is where the other guy's handle bars hit me. You really don't want to see my legs...
Although he initially went to the hospital by ambulance, we both walked away without any major injuries.
However, I waited 3 days before checking out the camera equipment that I was carrying in my backpack at the time. My Nikon D80, my new 17-55 2.8, a 50 1.8, and my speedlight SB-600. I was certain that they all met their untimely death that fateful moment on the West Side Highway bikepath. I was hit from behind and landed on my back. The backpack probably saved me from serious back injuries.
Tonight I had the courage to open my backpack and take everything out of the camera bag. Tonight was the test.
And... all survived!!! It's a miracle and a joyous evening!
