BMW's four-cylinder headquarter office building (right) and the BMW museum (left) at night.
The 22-floor 4-cylinder building, built from 1968-1972, is 101 meters high and has a diameter of 52 meters. Its architect is Austrian Karl Schwanzer, who also planned the BMW museum. Most interestingly, the top floors were built first, then the building was lifted up so that the lower floors could be built!
The building was used in the movies Rollerball (1975) and Suspiria (1977).
Wikipedia: The BMW R75 is a World War II-era motorcycle and sidecar combination produced by the German company BMW. The BMW R75 stands out by its integral two-wheel drive design, with drive shafts to both its rear wheel and the third side-car wheel, from a locking differential, as well as a transfer case offering both road and off-road gear ratios, through which all forward and reverse gears worked. This made the R75 highly maneuverable and capable of negotiating most surfaces. A few other motorcycle manufactures, like FN and Norton, offered optional drive to sidecars.
Something about the rendering of this photo bothers me. Perhaps I'll re-do it. Who knows, perhaps some setting over-sharpened it? I seldom use the sharpening tool.
2018: LeMay America's Car Museum
This is from the last shoot I did with the BMW, I removed all the stickers and sold it last Sunday. *sniff*. It took about 8 hours for 2 guys to remove all the decals - my fingernails hurt.
HDR shot south of Las Vegas, near a small mining operation called Sloan.

BMW-World is Bavaria's most visited tourist attraction. Built by architect Wolf Prix , it is a delivery space, a show room, an event venue and more.
The BMW E36 series is the third generation of the BMW 3 Series range of compact executive cars, and was produced from 1990 to 2000. The initial models were the 4-door sedan body style, followed by the coupe, convertible, wagon ("Touring") and hatchback ("Compact") body styles in later years. The E36 was the first 3 Series to be offered in a hatchback body style. It was also the first 3 Series to be available with a 6-speed manual transmission (in the 1996 M3), a 5-speed automatic transmission and a four-cylinder diesel engine. The multi-link rear suspension was also a significant upgrade compared with previous generations of 3 Series. Following the introduction of its E46 successor in 1998, the E36 began to be phased out. The E36 was named in Car and Driver Magazine's 10Best list for every year it was on sale. The E36 M3 is powered by the S50 or S52 straight-six engine (depending on country). The E36 M3 was released in 1992 and was available in coupe, sedan and convertible body styles. 2-door coupé, sold from 1991 to 1999.
