Le Batiment de forces motrice è stato costruito nel 1886, si situa a due passi dal Pont de l’Ile.
Originariamente è stato ideato per alimentare le fontane, case e fabbriche della città con acqua del Rodano.
La sua architettura si ispira al tempo stesso a uno stile classico e industriale.
Si tratta di uno degli edifici storici più belli di Ginevra, soprattutto la sera grazie a un originale gioco di luci.
Nel 1988 il BFM viene classificato come monumento storico. Oggi serve da sala parallela alla programmazione del Grand Théâtre.

Le Batiment de forces motrice was built in 1886 and is located a stone's throw from the Pont de l’Ile.
It was originally designed to supply the city's fountains, houses and factories with water from the Rhone.
Its architecture is both inspired by a classic and industrial style.
It is one of the most beautiful historical buildings in Geneva, especially in the evening thanks to an original play of lights.
In 1988 the BFM was classified as a historical monument. Today it serves as a parallel room to the Grand Théâtre programming.

Une structure en verre réfléchissant le ciel et les nuages.
Cet immeuble est la porte du quartier Citroën Construction en 1989, architecte Olivier-Clément Cacoub qui a souhaité ici un immeuble-porte qu'on traverse, qu'on ne contourne pas.
Trois grands portiques monumentaux offrent une perspective sur le parc Citroën,
La façade mesure trois hectares de verre-miroir mettant en valeur les volumes extrêmement étudiés de l'ensemble qui offre un sentiment de légèreté résonnant parfaitement bien avec l'environnement.

A glass structure reflecting the sky and clouds. This building is the door of the Citroën district Construction in 1989, architect Olivier-Clément Cacoub who wanted here a door-building that we cross, that we do not bypass. Three large monumental porticoes offer a perspective on the Citroën park, The façade measures three hectares of mirror glass highlighting the extremely studied volumes of the whole which offers a feeling of lightness resonating perfectly with the environment.

Magnifique bâtiment ancien à Ansbach, malheureusement inhabité, apparemment quelque chose y est fait de temps en temps, mais très, très lentement.
Beautiful old building in Ansbach, unfortunately uninhabited, apparently something is being done to it every now and then but very, very slowly.
Schönes altes Gebäude in Ansbach, leider unbewohnt, scheinbar wird immer mal wieder was daran gemacht aber sehr sehr langsam.
