BASCO LIGHTHOUSE
It has served the people since 2003 and gives a 360-degree view of the Mt. Iraya, Basco town proper and the West Philippine sea. It is a 6-story building with the view deck on the fifth. To reach the view deck, one has to take 52 steps to the top.
Organic grass fed-beef, seaweed salad and fresh caught fish from the sea. This wasn't one of those fancy smanshy places it was what they had locally available. How yummy.
Trees are much like human beings and enjoy each other's company. Only a few love to be alone.

Batanes is a goup of three islands and can be characterized by spectacular sceneries with the blend of seas (3 channels), cliffs and mountains (a volcano at the far background included), valleys, rolling hills and rich grazing lands. Weather is more unpredictable than a woman, lol. .But what makes Batanes greater than its reputation as a landscape photographers' paradise is the pure value of its people, the Ivatans.
HOMORON BLUE LAGOON
It is also known as Spanish/Spaniard's Lagoon since during the colonial era, only the Spanish were allowed access to this area. After braving the steep rocky slopes, one may take a swim since it is now open to locals and tourists alike.
Batanes is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List as " one of the last remaining areas in the Philippines having unique natural physiographic features ( wave-cut cliffs, cave-like outcrops, secluded white beaches ) resulting from its position where strong winds and fast currents have etched out its distinct morphology "
