As an end of the year recognition project for my department, I turned everyone into a Barbie. It was a lot of work! But well worth it when I handed them out. I was a little nervous that some of them would dislike them but everyone was thrilled. (Their photos and brief descriptions are on the backs.)
Here’s my Barbie Basics Lea from the 001 collection. She has definitely one of my big time regrets of not picking her up when she was brand new because I knew she looked gorgeous, but at the time I had no idea how I could rebody her due to her skin tone, and the fact I was struggling to rebody the Steffie doll from the same collection.
Eventually I came to regret this decision, and finding her for less than $40 was near impossible for literally the last 5 years.
But now I finally found her after going to countless doll events, searching eBay, etsy, Mister Dollface, etc. I’m so happy she’s here and she matches the Made to move body perfectly.
I had been shooting and processing film more then 10 years ago but I think it wasn't untill I started to shoot on digital, I really learned something about photography.
After 3 years of shooting digital only I felt an urge to shoot some rolls of film again. My neighbour found an old Canon AE-1 from his father. I begged to use it for a couple of weeks and bought a few rolls of T-Max.
It was great fun to shoot some film again. I will probably never use it for my work but it's a good exercise to shoot a roll now and then. Because it makes you think before you press the shutter
