More than 500 Airmen assigned to Flights 380-391, graduated from U.S. Air Force Basic Military Training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, June 5-6, 2024. Col. Willie L. Holmdel First Aid Squad two day Basic Extrication Class. Day1 was in the classroom explaining our objects and the tools used. Day 2 was tool time. 15 members learned about vehicle stabilization and got hands on experience extracting a patient from a wrecked vehicle. Both pneumatic tools and battery operated tools were used including cutters, spreaders, and combi-tools. Three groups of 5 members each worked on 3 different vehicles. After lunch we divided into 2 groups that worked on two larger SUV vehicles that were on their side.
