I made this Nasal out of Cascade 128 Bulky in Lichen for my best friend who asked for a neck gaiter for hunting. if he doesn't want it, I'll keep it!

Basalt: This rock is related to the pillow lava noted above. It was deposited in a submarine environment, flowing onto the ocean.

dips are not vertical this is off a large fallen boulder!

The photo is taken near the Kilt Rock on the Isle of Skye.

As we drove along the interstate in Northern Oregon, I started noticing these basalt columns. In particular, how they were curved. Evidence of their volcanic origins.

Four hexagons done, including the first under-arm one. Can just see my hello kitty stitch marker there!

Tamanawas Falls Loop Trail, Mt. Hood National Forest, Oregon.

The legend goes that giant Finn McCool is said to have created this geological wonder so he could walk to Scotland to confront another giant. From there, the story varies. Today, a massive floor of 40,000 hexagonal basalt columns stretches into the sea.
