Antigua (pronounced An-tee'ga) is located in the heart of the Caribbean Sea.
It was the English who came to settle Antigua and Barbuda in 1632,where they ruled the islands and manned the sugar plantations. There was a brief period of French rule in 1666 but it was the English (and later the ‘British’) who governed the colony for over 350 years. It was in 1981 when Antigua and Barbuda was formally granted its independence – becoming a fully-fledged member of the Commonwealth in the process.

She was last inspected under the Indian Ocean MoU Port State Control in Fremantle on 12 May 2033. No deficiencies were found.

The Antigua and Barbuda flagged, 8,255 gt general cargo ship, the BBC KIBO (MMSI 305757000) alongside the Aus Marine Complex 1 at Jervoise Bay, Kwinana, Western Australia on March 5, 2016. She was alongside I assume for maintenance works .
The BBC KIBO, was built in 2011, is part of the BBC Chartering fleet and is managed by Briese Schiffahrt GMBH & Co. of Germany.
