Sua mais nova amiga acaba de chegar!

Her new friend arrived!

This is my Philippines' 13 and well... her hair is very, very bad! Even after 2 boil wash. :(

So I decided to cut it really short by myself, it was the first time I did it in my life! LOL =D

I don't know if I did it well. I'm not a professional but it's done :P

I absolutely love the campaign for j'adore by Dior so I wanted to do a photo inspired by them, I hope everyone likes Sofia V's take of j'adore!

Here is Sofia as a sassy kitty for Halloween, I hope you all like it!

Happy Halloween!

Shaylani was inspired by the Haunted Beauty Barbie and Boo-tiful Barbie costumes and wanted to recreate a ghostly image for Halloween. Hope you all like our challenge photo!

I was enchanted by the Dolls of the World series from the moment I laid eyes on the dolls at the store. While there were 90s versions of the DOTW series, it wasn't until the early 2000s that they captured my attention. Namely, it was this Princess of the Nile gal that made me lust for Dolls of the World Barbies. Considering that they were marketed as collector's items, they weren't that expensive (like $20 to $30 depending on the store). Sometimes you could even get them for a bit cheaper if you caught a sale. The only doll in this photo from my childhood is Princess of the Nile. However, I didn't get her in the store. By the time I decided I absolutely needed her, she was nowhere to be found. So poor Dad had to pay an arm and a leg for her on eBay in 2003. I got her as a "good report card" gift. I didn't usually receive rewards for my grades (I always had excellent report cards, so Dad would have been constantly buying me gifts for them). But every once in a while, if there was something I really wanted that was kind of pricey, he'd use the "you got good grades" excuse to let me get it. As Ancient Egypt was an obsession of mine since I was nine, Dad knew how much I loved this doll. I had an assortment of Egyptian books/activity sets, and I always watched documentaries about Egypt whenever I had the chance. Even though this was my most expensive Barbie in my collection to date (I think Dad was stuck paying around $70 to $80 for her), he didn't hesitate to let me open her up and play with Cleopatra (as I named her). That's something I always appreciated about both my parents. They let me be a kid with my dolls, rather than forcing me and my sister to keep them in "collectible" condition. That's ultimately the main reason I collect dolls the way I do now...purely for enjoyment. Of course, being twelve years old, I was very responsible with my dollies anyways, so Cleo stayed in decent condition despite all the play.

Ireland and China Barbie were both adult flea market acquisitions. Despite Barbie being the most populous doll type at secondhand venues, I'm always excited to find Dolls of the World. I certainly don't find them everyday, nor in such excellent condition! China Barbie is the most recent find in this photo. In fact, it had taken so long to track her down that I didn't even remember she was part of this mini wave of DOTW. There were lots of other Princess Collection Barbies, but they were typically launched in sets of three. Luckily I have a collector book that covers them quite well, so I was able to sort out the lines for my Flickr guide. The details on all three of these ladies are impeccable, especially considering their original price point. All of them have metal snaps and thick fabrics. Poor Ireland Barbie's torso/neck turned dark yellow/orange with age (she was like that when I got her in 2012). But in the future I can take care of that with some stain treatments. It's more noticeable in photos than in person (which is why I overlooked treating her in the past).

I will always love the Dolls of the World series. I am fascinated by different cultures and history. That's why I was drawn to the American Girl franchise as a kid. I so appreciate how Mattel combined Barbie and different cultures into one beautiful series of dolls! I'd love to collect even more of these someday. Plus, I wouldn't shy away from owning another Princess of the Nile doll or Ireland one (my China doll is perfect, so no need for an upgrade).

As seen in my previous post, this is my DOTW Argentina doll. I got her in the Black Friday sales last year but only unboxed her recently. Needless to say, I love this doll!

She has the older Teresa headmold that was used through the 90s, and the blonde hair really lifts her to another level of beauty, helped by her subtle yet attractive makeup. Her hair has a great, deep blonde color which is styled in a side ponytail, with one prominent bang on the right side that ends in a dramatic swirl! It is glued heavily to keep the style intact, but the glue can be washed out with hot and cold water treatments.

She is dressed in a blue and black outfit modeled after the typical tango dance dresses. It has ruffles and fringes that adds much more volume and movement to the dress. It also comes with a shawl/wrap made of a net material, as well as a great pair of fishnet stockings. Her shoes are black, strappy high heels, with a red rose strapped above her left ankle.

Her body is a variation on the older Twist and Turn body, with a smaller than usual waist. Since the dress is very well fitted on this body, I was doubtful about it fitting a Made To Move body that I planned to swap her head onto, but it surprisingly fits very well on the newer body. The Made To Move body lends this doll the flexiblity of the dancer that she's meant to be!

Her accessories include a hairbrush, a pink passport with 4 stickers related to Argentina, as well as a figure of a native wild lion cub!

This doll is a fantastic purchase for the beautiful face, a blonde version of Teresa, and the great looking dress and stockings. Even as a boxed doll, this is sure to please interested collectors.

Once again sorry everyone for the one day delay and any Inconvenience it may have caused you with the. Contest. I have spent more time at my job and driving there and on my work for class than I have at home.

An extra shot of Shaylani Keahi (contestant of The Next Icon) and her friends out at the Noir Nightingale. I had a hard time choosing between this photo and the final photo. I settled on the photo of Shaylani dancing because it looked more like a girls night, fun and crazy.

Sweet, sugar, candyman....

I met him out for dinner on a Friday night

He really had me working up an appetite

He had tattoos up and down his arm

There's nothing more dangerous than a boy with charm

He's a one stop shop, makes the panties drop

He's a sweet-talkin', sugar coated candy man

Oh yeah..

He took me to the Spider Club at Hollywood and Vine

We drank champagne and we danced all night

We shook the paparazzi for a big surprise

the gossip tonight will be tomorrow's headline

Sofia is modeling the fall looks from Barbie Collector. The theme of this fashion show was great looks to wear to the upcoming holiday parties.

The requirement of this photo challenge was to wear a dress, it did not matter what length and contestants were free to choose the colors and theme. Hope everyone likes our challenge photo this week!

So the family is all together. (And the sunlight is missing, again! So this is the best I could manage, a group shot just to mark the day.)

Well they are not exactly a family, but a very close-knit group of people, the Lady's household and friends. Not all of them are in their proper clothing at the moment, but at least the clothes are not incongruous.

Not everyone is here. Some of the missing are in my Bratz band of the same characters, and the others I don't want to search for.

The guy in the checkered shirt (right) is a repainted clone Ken or teen doll I found in someone's random lot. Am not a fan of repaints but he happens to be an exact match for the character as I see him.

As for the age&size. If this were a real group shot, some of the persons would be younger or older, and the others taller. Nevertheless, I am happy with the choice of the dolls as I have recognized the people I envisage in every one of them.

Sisters Eva David and Shaylani Keahi are browsing Addison's, it is a rare girls day out for them.

Shaylani : " It is nice to finally have time to hang out, I miss our sister time!"

Eva : "I agree, I wish Ziva could have made it though, but she is so busy with Steve... I still think he and Sam have something to hide.. they're too quiet. No one in the spotlight can really have a private life the way they do."

Shaylani : "Well I hope not, I think it is time she found a good guy to take care of her.. well... put up with her" laughs "Anyways, Greyson and I are thinking about moving in with each other when we finish up school.."

Eva : "Wow! Really? That is a huge step, especially since his mother still isn't very fond of you.. I hope you two are ready for that type of commitment.."

Shaylani : "Ok, cool it with the big sister speech.. I am confiding in you, besides you don't see me butting in your business with you and Kingston do you?"

Eva : "Well no, but that is only because there may not be a Kingston and I anymore.. It's not really the same, I mean he is great but, I can't keep pushing my feelings for Chaz to the side... even if they are best friends.."

Shaylani : " I KNEW IT! I so called it, Ziva said I was nuts, but I think her twin senses are off.. I think you should let Kingston know how you really feel so it doesn't end badly between you guys"

Takes from Shaylani Keahi's photoshoot for her audition in BNTM. These were some of the pics that didn't make it.

Shaylani Keahi and her friends hit the "Noir Nightingale" a local club owned by Berkley Adams for this photoshoot just like they would on any other night out. Shaylani and her friends really let loose on the dance floor and before you knew it, Shaylani was dancing on top of one of the tables to "Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke, T.I., and Pharrell.

The requirements for this photo were to dress young, cute, and sexy. So I chose an outfit that looked like something I see a lot of young adults wearing in the clubs. Knee high boots are extremely popular in the club scene so I thought they helped tie in the gold shirt. Shaylani's brown eyes pop with gold, so that is why a lot of the colors are gold so that she is the main focus of the photo and hopefully not shown up by her friends. I hope you all like it!

Featured models in the photo are: Mae, Leah, and Sia.

Shaylani Keahi dresses in attire fitting one of her favorite careers... I will let you all guess what that is ;)

Can't take it no more,

I've got to have more tonight (tonight)

This feeling so strong, I'm puttin' you on tonight

Alright, let's go...

( CEO of Barbie Basic Fashion's Modeling Agency Brooke Anderson-Davidson)

Alright ladies, it is that time.. your very first judging panel! I want to say that I think you are all beautiful young women!

So I will not waste any time, this week each girl was to pose nude in a butterfly garden.. some girls stood out more than others. So the first girl safe this week is ......

Kesenia. Kesenia, you look gorgeous in your photo this week, I love your body language and your connection with the camera. You received the most votes from the social media.

Next up.. Hadley. You will continue in the Great Modeling Competition, you had the most favorites from fans on your photo this week. I liked your photo very much you connect well with the camera.

Dani, you are the next model safe this week, you tied with the next model in votes. I like your photo, but you seem a little unconnected with the way you chose to position your face, but Congrats.

Sinsley, please step forward,

I really enjoyed your photo this week, I think you pose beautifully. You look so much like a model to me.

Nikita, you are also safe this week, you came in second place with the flickr faves. Congrats. However, no one voted for your to stay.

Geri and Regan you girls pulled in the most social media views, so you both will be staying this week.

Doutzen, you are a suprising girl. Your photo was pretty, not quite as strong as the others but you photograph very well.

Serita and Vivy, both of you girls will continue this week. Congrats. I will just say your photos are both very pretty, but I think they look so commercial and really not like a professional model.

Flora and Dania, your both very beautiful girls, but you both need to boost your social media backing, you girls also received no fan votes, but did receive flickr faves.

So that leaves us with two beautiful girls, Brenda and Gyva will you please step forward....

Gyva, you are the beautiful girl with a slightly punk edge. However this week your photo lacked anything special, it was rather bland. Brenda, you are the curvier of all the models here and you are gorgeous! But, your photos so far have been too "textbook model". I think you could do much better with posing, you should learn to embrace what makes you different.

So.. both of you girls have the same number of fan faves on your photos, so this comes down to who brought in the most social media views.... this means that the model staying this week will be......

............... Gyva.... this means that you Brenda must go home. We enjoyed having you here for this short time and wish you all the best! Gyva, we need to see some of that edge we seen from your test shot! Congrats, your still in the running.

( The next challenge will be up in a few days, the girls are all given a Disney Princess to model after, some girls will get to model with a male model in this challenge, stay tuned, any thoughts about todays elimination?)

VS Angel Sofia Vergara in front of the 2013 VS Angel Tree.

Recently bought this girl again, I have one other one but their eyes are a lot different. I like this girls eyes better, they are smaller and make her modelesque.

OMG! What a big score!

I bought most of the dolls myself, mom got me the princess of Japan doll and i won picture day cleo, barbie in a mermaid tale and the secret door cd in a giveaway. Some dolls may need a little fixing but that's no big deal for me :3

First time mother Bunny Pine is expecting her bundle of joy soon, here is a shot from her autumn themed maternity shoot.

For this challenge, I chose to dress Sofia in classic elegant style so she is wearing the 2010 Holiday Barbie strapless gown and is wearing a simple up-do, Swarovski crystal earrings, and a vintage Barbie reproduction clutch. I hope everyone likes our version of Red Carpet.

The challenge requirements were a red carpet, a beautiful dress, and a beautiful pose.
