Originally she is The 40th Anniversary Barbie on Shani/Nichelle facemold. I chose her from the few options on this mold on Ebay. She seemed too glamorous for a rustic setting, but I liked her the best and that is what matters. When I like a doll, I feel inspired to play with it.
I took out her red carpet earrings and made instead a pair of simpler ones, mostly to cover the big holes ih her ears.
The dress is from Victorian Velvet 1971 outfit. I bought it in excellent vintage condition, but when opening the envelope I cut off a tiny portion of a sleeve, creating a huge hole in it! It was so frustrating... Yet everything turned out well. I took the dress to an atelier, and a professional seamstress repaired the damage as if it had never happened.
...so I thought I was done styling everybody for the shoot but I felt like I needed to up the levels since Skipper came out so good. Christie's hair was completely different than this at first, but I went back in and changed her up and BAM!
Tashie (pronounced TAH- shee) has a goddess Barbie face sculpt on an articulated Curvy Barbie body. Her clothes were made & designed to fit her beautiful body type.She is artistically anatomically correct.
