The song was "At Last" by Etta James. What a moment.
I heard the office say what the horse's name was, but I've forgotten.
Something that I found striking last night was the relatively controlled nature by which the crowd (reported to be about 240,000) conducted itself.
Also, though, the police were generally friendly and non-confrontational. While it's not clear here, many people were petting the horses upon which these officers were sitting. And the officers were interacting in a very friendly way.
This is not a bitter crop: The only 'Strange Fruit' we have in America's trees tonight are our bicycles. We've hung them there while we celebrate because our city's bike racks are full.

Obama has made history!!! We have all been a part of it. To commemorate this historic event we have created some new posters based on the “New Hope” series. The new series, titled "We Made History" will have a limited run of 100 numbered prints, signed by artist Deroy Peraza, and is available in four colors.
I put this together in February or something and figured I'd share it now that he is the nominee and all.

I was in the *middle* of the crowd; it was equally large the other direction.

I guess the "Real America" has spoken, Mrs. Palin. Kindly crawl back into your igloo now.
