The egrets are nesting in a large tree at the lagoon as they have been doing for years. It's a treat to watch them busily flying into nearby trees searching for material to build their nests. To me they at times appear to be performing a ballet in the sky, a beautiful sight to see.

The brothers Professor Doctor Hakus (just back from a mission to Mars) and Bernus have to lose weight. That means less food and more exercise.
They walk a lot and are taking ballet lessons with Nadu.
The first lesson:
NADU:
We will first do push ups gentlemen to make the muscles flexible.
10x up and down.
Then we will start with the 1st ballet class.

The Todd Bolender Center for Dance and Creativity, named after the late Todd Bolender, is located in what used to be the Union Station Power House in Kansas City, Missouri. It opened on August 26, 2011. Following extensive renovations on the historic building, it became home for the Kansas City Ballet.

Passeggiando per un vicoletto di Voltri ho notato questo grazioso uccellino, che camminava in modo velocissimo ed elegante per strada. " È una ballerina - mi ha spiegato un passante- è molto socievole , entra nei negozi e nelle case e prende il cibo dalle mani" . Ho tentato di avvicinarmi , ma l'uccellino non si lasciava avvicinare troppo , mi guardava e poi si nascondeva sotto le auto , per poi risbucare camminando graziosamente , quasi saltellando sempre velocissimo ( solo qualche brevissimo volo per non essere investito dalle rare macchine ). Ho poi cercato notizie , pensavo che ' ballerina ' fosse un soprannome affettuoso, ed invece è proprio la razza di questo uccellino, che non avevo mai visto

It's Saturday morning...that means it's ballet time for Jessie. And taking pictures time for daddy. :) I got a lot of good shots this time which I will be posting today as time permits.
I shot a similar shot last week. Normally I don't like to shoot the same shot over again, but Jane pointed out to me that the picture would have looked so much better without the tap shoes. At first I blew her off...but after looking at the picture some more, I agreed. So here's a new version with just the ballet shoes. I opted to leave this one in color since i like the soft colors and the striped tights.
In my free time I perform what I like the best, ballet some violin and bowling

After an almost 2 month hiatus, Jessie decided she wanted to get back to Ballet class.
She was a bit behind, but she did well.
At the halfway point of the class, the instructor has us(the parents) come change our kids' shoes from ballet to tap. After I was done switching her shoes, the instructor gave me a smile and said, "go ahead and take some pictures." :) So of course I did.
I snapped this shot of Jessie observing herself in the mirror as the instructor and kids (didn't notice this at the time) watched on. :D
