Today has been an epic day at work! 18 store managers from across our region visiting my produce department for a detailed walk around for a coaching day. I was slightly nervous and having put days of effort into making it look good, I was relieved when it was all over!
I have been helping to organise a 'bake off' for Comic Relief in work. Judging is taking place this Friday and we are selling our creations to colleagues as part of our fundraising efforts.
Tonight was my final prep night before making my final batch tomorrow. As you can see I am attempting to make strawberry flavoured macaroons for the first time!
I can assure you that they taste good.....

25 (well 24 now...) cheese & spinach scones hot out of the oven ready for tomorrows Open Garden. Now sitting down with a cup of tea watching 'My Cat From Hell' (and a sample test scone, of course...)

College of DuPage faculty, staff and administrators celebrated the end of summer and launch of the fall 2016 semester block party style. Events included a 1967 throwback game of The Price is Right to commemorate the institutions 50th anniversary, a boxed cake bake-off and grilled treats. In softball action, the faculty team triumphed over the administration with a final score of 6-3. The festivities continued with a Bowl for a Goal fundraiser for student scholarships at Fox Bowl in Wheaton.

This is the fantail, which responds automatically to changes in the wind direction. The mechanism then rotates the whole cap on top of the tower so that the sails are always facing into the wind.
