The Siberian stonechat or Asian stonechat (Saxicola maurus) is a recently validated species of the Old World flycatcher family (Muscicapidae). Like the other thrush-like flycatchers, it was often placed in the Turdidae in the past. It breeds in temperate Asia and easternmost Europe and winters in the Old World tropics.
It has been two weeks now I'm in Pakistan and I am still living in the Guest House that is provided by the company. I know it's a nice comfortable and cozy room, but I am still awaiting for my own fully furnished accommodation as stated in the Agreement. But nothing is happening so far....

I have never tried putting text onto any of my capture but a flickr friend of mine, Sandra advised me to try to. So I did, and this is my 1st attempt - original script, photo and composition.

It's been hot lately, and the weather has been un-predictable lately. It was expected to rain today, and has been lighnting since afternoon. Heavy showers were witnessed in the twin cities. I had absolutely no plans of taking another lightning shot but asI woke up after my evening nap, I just couldn't resist.
Unlike other genres of photography, lightning would never give you a second chance. Its here one moment - and the next instant, it's gone! We can practice our portrait shots - macros and even landscapes. Lighnting demands patience - and a lot of that. I hope to imrpove with time at my lightning captures.
P.S This is just a part of the bolt that actually hit somewhere!

Children playing at a village near where I live. . . unaware of the global situation, unaware of the national crisis, unaware of tomorrow . . . these boys hope for fine candy, and better toys at this age . . .
I am counting down on my trip to Pakistan by uploading this photo which was taken in Bahria Town, the worst place I have ever been working in my life so far ( not the condition of the place, but the politics inside Bahria Town Office).
It's another 2 weeks and then I'll be off !
Can't wait!

This is a 25 year old kanghi palm which spent most of its life in huge flowerpots. It was when we were in a transition from moving to our ancesstoral home to our newly made home in Bahria Town that it died.
After shifting to our new home, we planted it in the soil and thanks god its reviving now :-)
