British style bacon from Parkers which my son in law, who hails form Nottinghamshire, calls "proper bacon." I must admit compared to American supermarket bacon it is proper!
Happy Macro Monday!
Try wet fried bacon for the ultimate crispy bacon rashers for crumbling into salads and pasta. Simply rather using oil simply put a cup of water in the frying pan and let it cook slowly. The water eventually boils off, and the final crisping is completed in the rendered fat.
Bacon's Castle, also variously known as "Allen's Brick House" or the "Arthur Allen House" is located in Surry County, Virginia, United States, and is the oldest documented brick dwelling in what is now the United States. Built in 1665, it is noted as an extremely rare example of Jacobean architecture in the New World.
The house became known as "Bacon's Castle" because it was occupied as a fort or "castle" by the followers of Nathaniel Bacon during Bacon's Rebellion in 1676. However, contrary to popular folklore, Bacon never lived at Bacon's Castle, nor is he even known to have visited it.
Let me introduce you a new member of our family... Bacon! She is a mixed breed between an English Bulldog and an old English Bulldog.
After our French Bulldog died ( www.flickr.com/photos/marco18678/18083175899/in/dateposte... ) we waited for more then a half year before we decided to get another puppy. When we saw this nest we were sold :) ... She is a very playful and sweet dog

Bacon or Curtain Formations- Bacon formations are spaleothems that are thin sheets of Calcite and Iron Oxide that are deposited by water and drips from ceilings. Water is the main factor in forming bacon strips and will make a drapery formation when more and more water is left behind. These forms the orange and brown alternating bands that are make the bacon formations it's appearance. The orange and brown coloring is formed by Iron Oxide. If water continues to drop then stalagmites will form.
