I got lucky this day as I sat in the morning waiting for my yard birds. This Loggerhead Shrike spent the morning with me catching insect after insect. I don't know where he put it all.
My never-ending quest to get a decent Pine Warbler photo.
Thanks everyone for viewing, faving, following and commenting on my photos.

Fat robin grabbed and swallowed this worm so quickly I hardly knew he had it. Was glad to see it when I looked at photos on computer.
As FlyFisherMike and I were scouting Hatchie NWR and Oneal Lake, we were finding some nice driftwood pieces. This is one put to use in the backyard area.

This poor darlin' had a very large tick stuck right beside her eye...this is the second bird that has landed on the feeder that had a large tick right next to its eye. The last little bird was a dark-eyed junco and its eye was all watery and trying to close. I wonder if this ends up killing the bird, or do you think they eventually scratch it off. It is a very upsetting thing to see!

I have a nice variety of birds in my yard to keep me entertained while staying home to avoid Covid-19 The stay at home order, except for essential travel has been extended until the end of May, Yakima County, Washington. There may be some essential birds that I need to see away from home this week. Will post a few more yard bird photos latter.

This bird, if it is the same bird that I photographed in poor light this morning showed up a 2nd time today. The light was much better this afternoon and I was closer to the bird but the shepherds hook that holds one of my feeders was between me and the bird. IMG_6755
I have trouble keeping up and thanking everyone individually so I hope you will accept this generic "thank you." I would like to thank everyone who takes the time to view, comment and fave my photographs. It is greatly appreciated and encouraging.
I am disappointed in the price increase here at Flickr but will stick around and hope the most of the will also be here next year.
This little guy was hanging out on the patio wall.. enjoying some sun and splashing around in the birdie bath now and then....
Even when it is pretty cool...they seem to love a bath.
