spent the weekend organising and re-rendering all the source clips of an old video project ("walking with angels", a 4 hour video extravaganza a few friends and i were commissioned to do for london's exclusive "sketch" restaurant/bar). including intermediate clips, the whole thing has been taking up over 150GB on my main PC - so backing up to DVD-Rs would have been a tad impractical. i'm now seriously thinking about getting a dual-layer bluray drive, once they come down in price a notch or two...but in the meantime, doing a double backup onto two separate USB drives seems like a sensible enough plan. still, i'm hesitant to remove the files from my main machine...i'd hate for the project files to accidentally disappear forever...
As nightfall settles over the swamp, the backup requested by Copperhead arrives. One by one, a team of Range Vipers led by their commander, who is in turn commanded by a Cobra Officer, exit the HISS IV. The HISS Driver joins his colleagues beside the mighty HISS tank.
Officer: 'We have our mission: track down the Lamprey. Once the Lamprey is back in our possession, we contact Zandar and return the Lamprey to the Dreadnoks. This mission can not fail. Any questions?'
The able team makes no indication that the mission is unclear.
Officer: 'Excellent. Move out!'
I always make an effort to stop and enjoy Mo'Rockin whenever they play at Epcot's Morocco pavilion. The music is great and the belly dancer adds some authentic atmosphere.
On this day in May, 2012, the regular dancer was replaced by a substitute. She was equally skilled and thrilled the crowd.
And please, no jokes about the mountains of Morocco.
Monthly backup day for me!
Just wanted to show it off.
That's 5 1GB 'Industrial' CF cards, with cases. Encased in a Monoprice hard case (www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=12180)
Piece of paper underneath the (badly) cut foam insert is 'Emergency' password stuff for a couple old databases I have from previous employers.
