I can has new Prius!
And in a way, I bought myself a new camera today, too. It's got a camera on the rear bumper that displays its image on the main LCD when you put the car in reverse so you can see if you're going to bump into something. Sadly, despite the bluetooth integration, I don't think there's a way to store the image other than--as I did here--pointing my SLR at the screen.
Incidentally: The black stripes on the road there are from the tow truck that necessitated the Prius upgrade.

The 7D is at Canon, the SX110 is unavailable, I had to dig in the basement for my backup backup camera. I found this picture still on its memory card. The Fuji Finepix 5100 does a pretty good job with it's 4.0 megapixels

Photo taken from my driveway. As you can see you can see a heck of a lot.
The wide angle does however do that whole "Object may be closer then they appear" effect.
The photo was taken at dusk, after the sun went down.
My only problem right now is how to mirror the image, while you can see out the back, the side that things are on it not intuitive.

The Gary Oaks towering above a floor of blue flowers reminded me of being in Scotland last year when the bluebells were in bloom. Gary Oak Ecosystems, along withe the Tallgrass Prairies, are among the most endangered ecosystems in Canada.
This place is my new favourite breakfast joint. They have a special known as "The Mahoney", where you get whatever the cook dreams up, then you flip the waiter double or nothing for the cost. We went in today as a group of four - two of us won the toss and two lost, so we pretty much broke even, except somehow saved money on the tax.
Curious about what we were served?
Mystery Dish 1: FOUR eggs Benny served over something spinachy on english muffins.
Mystery Dish 2: A spinach, chicken and pemeal omelette.
Mystery Dish 3: Fired eggs served over fried steak, bacon, sun-dried tomato and banana peppers.
Mystery Dish 4: A wrap of turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomatoe, peanut sauce (???), and some other surprises.
All served with toast and a generous helping of potatoes. It was great and the servings were huge - I'm still full eight hours later. It would have been worth the price even if we had all paid double...
