Doing photo-a-day for 2.5 years and lots of photoshoots with a 15 megapixel camera results in a lot of data. My backup hard drive died on Monday night and so I ordered a new drive which arrived today (thanks Amazon Prime!) A new, full backup of 1.3TB sure does take a while...
Also, the last backup drive died after a totally unreasonably short time period: 7 months. Fortunately, it's under warranty, so you can be damn sure I'm getting them to replace it. Of course, I can't wait that long for having a reliable backup, which is why I've got a new drive now. Besides, it's not like I'd really trust its replacement as my main backup drive after having one die so fast. But I imagine I can use it as an off-site storage backup, which is something I've been wanting for a while.
Photo taken with iPhone and processed with Camera+ (have I mentioned my love of Camera+? Its filters are a lot of fun; I totally want them to make a Mac OS X version and not just an iPhone version. Make it happen, guys!)
