#2 Backup
In October, 1994 I took advantage of the morning light and a little it of luck to photograph an eastbound Conrail freight and Amtrak's eastbound 'Broadway Limited'.
In those days, the 'Broadway Limited' and its successor the 'Three Rivers had to do a backup move here. Coming up from the former B&O, the eastbound train had to pull up to CP BLOOM, then back up westbound about a mile to the Amtrak station, before heading out east again on Conrail.
In this sequence, the eastbound 'Broadway' has already completed its backup move and is heading east towards Philadelphia and New York City. This sequence was shot from the Herron Ave. Bridge.
