[Polaroid Land Camera 100 / Fuji FP 3000b instant film / April 2016]
PS: The diptych has been created simply by mirroring. The left photo is the original Polaroid. Well, that's obvious perhaps, so i am possibly sorry for stating the obvious.

Back in 2019 I took part in a series of burlesque shows as a performer. At the time I was looking for a subject for a set of photos for a local exhibition, and I thought that some backstage shots would fit the bill. I asked the other performers if it would be OK to take pictures, and they said yes.
So here are the six pictures I eventually selected for display. We rarely get proper dressing rooms as performers; we change in store-rooms or bars and improvise as best we can. I hope that these picture capture that.
Thank you to the various members of the Muse School of Burlesque for letting me take and use their pictures.
This is my backstage Video Reel. It was Shot on a Nikon D90, NIKKOR 50MM F1.8, NIKKOR 18-105, and NIKKOR 70-300. It's not edited in HD because my Hard Disk is full and doesn't work so good :P
I hope you like it. Opinions are welcome.
Of all the pictures I took this is one of my favourites. During Cellur machines set I quickly amended the settings to throw Nick into sillhouette. Nikon D5100 50mm1.8 lens
The famous Van Gogh room has been recreated in 3D and then photographed again from an unusual view. My personal opinion of his "backstage"

Ok, I thought it was about time I uploaded my fashion show shots. (First fashion show I'd ever been to.)
I mostly took pictures of the whole make-up process (because that was basically what I was there for), but later on, I managed to get a couple reeeeeally nice backstage photos.
This one was edited *quite a bit*, as the original was totally underexposed and not really postable (but I VERY MUCH wanted to post it because I totally dig the photo). The rest - which is to follow soon - was not edited at all, or only *very* minimally.
Fashion design by Ninali.
Darkness enveloped the backstage area, except for the beacon light on the wall. This area made me think of The Phantom of the Opera, and I kept expecting to see a dark, mysterious figure out of the corner of my eye.
If you are a Buffalonian you should definitely check out this local gem, the Riviera Theatre in the town of North Tonawanda, NY, a gorgeous period theatre well worth the trip to NT.
