An old shot (from back in 2016) of a green tiger beetle (Cicindela campestris), in fact one of the first ones I ever took which shows the pattern on the elytra quite well.

This is taken near lake Stensjön (ie Rock lake) in Tyresta National Park, south of Stockholm, Sweden.

I love looking at flowers from the back...so many interesting details that are just as beautiful as the front of the flower...just in a different way. Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!

This is the backside of the postcard for Smile on Saturday.

Three main propulsion engines are present, with a smaller fourth one positioned in the center. The four protrusions sticking out on the sides are modified air vents, which are used for precision navigation in-atmosphere.

21 degrees with a 25 knot wind felt mighty cold at 400am to this florida photographer. Man the wind -proofing of Gortex never ceases to amaze me. Ok back to the shoot, after following the trail for about a mile or so, i came to the front side of Broken Arch in Arches Nat Park. The only problem was in the winter with a sunrise in the south east.. the front of the arch wasn't going to light-up, at least per the garmin gps.Manwhat was i thinking.. pre intell scouts are worth every penny...of course that's if you have the extra time. So after a climb thru some boulders and lose rock etc, i was able to scramble up and thru the arch. It quickly became apparent that the better angle and shoot would be looking to the southeast and capturing some sunrise color!! The key point here is being flexible and arriving at your shoot early enough to not be rushed!! Another fantastic morning and day in one of America's ionic treasures!!
