There's a word for this and a quick google informs me it's 'Pareidolia.' Seeing things in everyday objects, esp. clouds.

The most dreaded ship in all of Sci-Fy, The Shadow Battle Crab from Babylon 5! I did my very best to replicate this fearsom shape, but it's not 100% accurate since all the legs/antenna are supposed to be curved and or portude from the same location. Every ship in the show was a little bit different, and hard to see, which made it really hard to pin down it's exact 3D anatomy. Even profile pictures make it difficult to tell where things are, so this was a real challenge. This MOC is also 100% buildable, and I fully intend to make it in real bricks, after I finish my big SHIP.
You remember Babylon 5 don't you?
This is the Starfury starfighter to scale with my X-wing and TOS shuttle (in the Handful Fighters set).
What shall I make next?
Death by bokeh. What a way to go.
For the lovely and very talented Amber, who requested MOAR. Also? A source of daily inspiration, a Bokeh Hero.
Julie Caitlin Brown and Patricia Tallman during the Collectormania 9 event, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England, United Kingdom. Friday 28th April 2006.
About the event.
Both of the actress seen in the two photographs were in the 1990s American science fiction series Babylon 5 created by the writer and producer J Michael Straczynski. Here in the photographs, they were attending Collectormania 9, an annual fan convention event held in the United Kingdom, and was held on the weekend of Friday 28th April to Monday 1st May 2006.
Whenever I attended those fan convention, I was simply as a fan, hoping to get some autographs and buy some merchandises, rather than being a photographer actually doing photography. I had met both of them, and got their autographs, including Julie Caitlin Brown’s autograph on the cover of her CD, an album titled Sheddin’ My Skin.
About the photograph.
At that time, it was either their lunch break or at the end of the day, and they were heading back to their hotel or wherever they were staying. But first, they stopped at an event noticeboard, and here they were checking to see who else is attending. Most likely to see if any of their friends or co-stars were attending.
About the subject.
On the left is Julie Caitlin Brown (sometimes listed in credits simply as Caitlin Brown), an American actress, musician, and talent agent. She had been on stage, in movies, commercials, and television. She is known for her role as the Na’Toth (the Narn aide for Ambassador G’Kar) in Babylon 5. As a singer, she had released two albums.
On the right is Patricia Tallman, an American actress and stunt performer. In the Babylon 5 series, she played the human telepath Lyta Alexander. In additional to guest roles in other shows, she had also been a stunt performer for various actresses, including being a stunt double for Gates McFadden, whom played Dr Beverly Crusher in Star Trek: The Next Generation.
EXIF information.
Due to my busy life as a full-time single parent and carer, I lost my notes on the photographs. Also I had transferred the image files from one computer to other and then to another (when upgrading), most often by mistakenly saving it in another format, and as it was long before I managed to properly organize my photos and long before I had Lightroom, thus I don’t have any camera EXIF for those photographs.
It could have been my Minolta X-700 and the photo were scanned to CD at the same time it was developed and printed. Or it could have been my Olympus Camedia C-3040. It is also possible that I could have used both, by taking one photo with the X-700 and the other with the C-3040. Also likely could have been my Nikon D1, but definitely not the Nikon D200 as I did not have it until few years later.

I was trying to reflect something of my radio show's content and this about covers....a good five percent or so. (At least!)
Just a bit of fun really, a tabletop set up using daylight and a locked off camera and a fair bit of patience setting it all up.
Is it scary I have this many toys? No, it's scary I have more Iron Man toys than this...
Yeah, I know, party at Stark's !!!
(Strewth, a Zero-G post without a gazillion lines of text! Who are you, and what have you done with Rob?)
Actually, it's just occurred to me that I really have interviewed a couple of the actors behind these folks...what a lark!
Oh, and yes, there are two "Wallys" !!
(To save a little angst, the two figures you may have trouble with are my personal custom modified Iron Man variants, the "My Little Tony" Iron Horse and the "Iron Cyberman".)

The Starfury fighter a fictional vessel used by Earthforce (Babylon 5) made the inspiration for this spaceship. I call it "Starhunter".
This is one of my brother's Starship MOCs. The Shadow Star was inspired by the Shadow Battle Crabs and the White Star's from Babylon 5. It features bio-organic armor, a cloaking device, and is armed with twin death ray turrets which can slice most ships to shreds, and a forward Dark Wraith cannon on the nose.

We tried to set up an interview on Zero-G with Peter Woodward (who played the Technomage, Galen, from "Crusade") when the Armageddon Pulp Expo came to Melbourne in October, 2007, but due to circumstances beyond our control it all went pear shaped!
HOWEVER, we kept our powder dry and our shields up and marched to the front like soldiers and in March, 2008, landed a loooonggg phone interview with Peter when he was doing P.R for the film he scripted "Closing The Ring".
Qapla! As we say in the Klingon Empire.
Anyway, my partner Gail had one of her rare total fan-girl moments at the con and insisted we rock up to the convention just to do the whole autograph meet and greet with the guest in the celebrity signing room.
Thanks to Ange from Austrek (a local Star Trek club) for snapping the original picture.
The show is Zero-G: Science Fiction, Fantasy & Historical Radio and has been running for 14 years now. It airs on 3RRR FM, Melbourne, Australia's largest subscriber based public radio station at 102.7 mhz on the FM stereo band.
For those of you who want to live audiostream it links can be found at 3RRR FM's website at:

I have been meaning to take photos of this MOC for some time, but here it is; The Shadow Battle Crab from the TV show Babylon 5 made real.

As ordered by Babylon 5 security chief Michael Garibaldi: Pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, and sun-dried tomatoes. The sun-dried tomatoes make the pizza, and are a new must-have topping. I had trouble finding a place that has them, though. Some day I'll find a place that has both sun-dried tomatoes and pastrami, and I'll be in heaven.

Babylon 5 Starfury space fighter in Microfighters style. One of my all time favorite space fighters.
"It was the dawn of the third age of mankind – ten years after the Earth-Minbari War. The Babylon Project was a dream given form. Its goal: to prevent another war by creating a place where humans and aliens could work out their differences peacefully. It's a port of call – home away from home – for diplomats, hustlers, entrepreneurs, and wanderers. Humans and aliens wrapped in two million five hundred thousand tons of spinning metal… all alone in the night. It can be a dangerous place, but it's our last best hope for peace. This is the story of the last of the Babylon stations. The year is 2258. The name of the place is Babylon 5."
My first go at any kind of Lego creation in this size, I'm pretty pleased with how it looks. More pictures tomorrow, in the mean time, any comments or criticisms are very much appreciated.
