Richmond's West End is generally characterized by ranch-style, Colonial, and other mid-twentieth century architectural forms. So I was surprised to see this shotgun style house, then another just like it several doors down, and then a few more scattered around the immediate neighborhood. Most houses in the West End were built between 1940 and 1970; shotgun houses more usually date from the Civil War through the 1920s.

Nancy Sanger was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma on August 23, 1940 and died in Dallas, Texas on May 7, 2006
This vintage stroller was made by The Frank F. Taylor Company in Cincinnati, Ohio. The floor pans were removable. When the babies were learning to could walk the stroller doubled as a walker, without worry of falling. An optional vinyl padded seat cushion was available.
Model PF49 came without the wheel fenders. The seat is painted wood. Grab handles are stained wood. The Colored Beads are bakelite. A P-55 model came in Grey / White.
If I had planned it, it wouldn't have turned out better.
I had my camera hanging from my neck, and I snapped without even knowing what would be captured from the image. Turned out I was lucky.

Both the kids liked trying the Bar Mitts to keep their hands warm on the back of cargo bike.
The angle of the opening in the mitts is not quite right for this application, but they didn't seem to mind.
There is a bit of space at the bottom of the mitt that the kids could use to store something they wanted to carry.
As a parent, I appreciate that these mittens don't falll off.
These are the "Baby Stroller" model of Bart Mitts.

Yes, most serious indeed! He looked at me in an "old soul" non-baby way...a wise old man in the body of a baby. I usually would say that he is suffering from an attack of gravitas, except that I think that gravitas is his m.o. (modus operandi)--at least, when his mother isn't around. I hope it's just a temporary mood.
He was with his grandmother, I think, an older woman who was looking out for the car that was coming to pick them up. Didn't she notice that he had a dirty face before they went out? I felt a bit sorry for him... Hopefully, he was being picked up by his Mamá, and she would bring a smile back to his face and set things right.
