Indirect heat 250-275 x 2 hours or so. Hickory chips for smoking. Salt & pepper. Apply small amount of oil so herbs will adhere. Coat initially with herbs such as basil, thyme, rosemary, whatever. Last 30 minutes brush frequently with garlic infused olive oil. Ready to eat. No sauce. Enjoy!

Baby Back Ribs. Low & slow 5 hour cook.

Next to photography, BBQ is my second hobby. Here are 6 lbs of Baby Back Ribs, slow smoked for 6.5 hours over charcoal, hickory and cherry wood. Basted at the end in a glaze of bourbon, ketchup, and assorted spices. Then to just gild the lily spritzed in the final two hours, off and on, with Jim Beam's latest crazy creation.....Apple infused Bourbon. These puppies are ready to become dinner. " ))

I smoked these Baby Back Ribs until they were so tender they fell of the bone. I smoked them using Hickory and Red Oak. I call this method, HICK OAK lol

Crockpot Baby Back Ribs

Ingredients

2 cups (500ml) barbecue sauce

2 tablespoons brown sugar

3 tablespoons minced garlic

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon cayenne pepper (optional for a hint of spice)

2 kg (4 pounds) baby back pork ribs

Salt , to taste

Instructions

Spray inside of a 6-quart slow cooker with cooking spray.

Remove inner skin (membrane) from ribs and place ribs in slow cooker. Discard skin.

Combine bbq sauce, brown sugar, garlic, Worcestershire sauce and cayenne pepper in a small bowl. Mix well to combine and completely cover with half of the sauce.

Season with a good amount of salt and pepper; cover with lid and cook on low setting for 7-9 hours or high setting for 3-5 hours *see notes. Refrigerate remaining sauce to use later.

When ribs are tender and falling apart, transfer onto an oven tray (or baking sheet), lined with parchment paper. (Lift them carefully as the meat will be very tender and falling off the bone).

Pour half of the juices from the slow cooker bowl into the remaining sauce. Baste ribs with half of the sauce and broil (grill) in preheated oven at 400°F (220°C) for about 10 minutes or until beginning to char and crisp on the edges.

Serve ribs with remaining sauce.

Recipe Notes

Cook times depend on the results you are looking for:

LOW: 7 HOURS / HIGH: 3 HOURS — Ribs that are soft but stay on the bone (as shown in the video in post).

LOW: 9 HOURS / HIGH: 4-5 HOURS — Tender, fall apart ribs that melt in your mouth like butter (as shown in the images in post).

I love a rack of ribs. Plain, no BBQ sauce.

Juicy and tender, easy-to-make oven barbecue ribs have a bold flavor, are slathered in a sweet and tangy sauce, and are fall-off-the-bone tender.

Finished product... "Off the chart delicious" (according to the guests). But then again, they want to be invited back for more!

First time making smoked baby back ribs on the grill, and they came out to perfection.

These cooked a little faster than I expected (about 3 hours instead of 5), but when they were ready I had been smelling them so long that I was ready to devour them; I am lucky I even got a picture in they were so good, so tender, and I was so hungry!

Baby back ribs with potato rolls, pickled vegetables, and seasoned fries. At Pork & Beans in Pittsburgh, PA.

What’s summer without some baby back ribs? I did these in the oven instead of the smoker and I have to say these were probably the best ribs I have ever made, and the family agreed (even Sophie agreed!!).

Year Thirteen Of My 365 Project

Best ribs I have ever had… the bones were literally coming off the meat clean and the meat was so tender. I couldn’t even eat half a rack though (which is a good thing) because my stomach has shrunk down. Good sign, but still these were so good you wanted to be able to eat more!

Year Eight Of My 365 Project

INGREDIENTS:

5 to 6 lb pork baby back ribs

1 teaspoon seasoned salt

1 teaspoon garlic pepper blend

1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

1 cup barbecue sauce

1 can (12 oz) cherry cola

1/4 cup cherry preserves

1/2 teaspoon ground mustard

1 to 2 teaspoons buffalo wing hot sauce or other hot sauce

DIRECTIONS:

1. Heat oven to 350°F. Cut ribs into serving-size sections. Rub ribs with seasoned salt, garlic pepper and ginger. Place ribs in 15x10x1-inch pan, overlapping slightly. Bake uncovered about 1 hour 30 minutes or until tender.

2. Meanwhile, in 2-quart saucepan, mix barbecue sauce, cola, preserves, mustard and buffalo wing sauce. Heat to boiling; reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer uncovered 30 to 40 minutes, stirring occasionally, until flavors are blended and sauce is slightly thickened.

3. Heat coals or gas grill for direct heat. Cover and grill ribs over medium heat 10 to 15 minutes, turning and brushing occasionally with barbecue sauce mixture to glaze.

4. Heat remaining barbecue sauce mixture to boiling; boil and stir 1 minute. Serve sauce with ribs.

This is one of the menu at Adventure Cafe, in Gaas, Balamban, my favorite Ziplining.

No this is not my order, since I am on fish, veggies and fruit diet, I am just happy to see this food without even tempted to eat this.

Yesterday my husband made pork babyback ribs in the style of Memphis' Rendezvous restaurant -- very nostalgic for him. Not a fancy bento today, but maximum flavor and happiness. Not shown: a slice of plain white bread under the ribs, two oshibori packed outside the box for clean-up, and a lid to the bean container. Packed in my deep Chinese box to fit the ribs.

INGREDIENTS:

Baby Back Ribs:

4 1/2 lb pork loin back ribs

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon pepper

Spicy Barbecue Sauce:

1 cup ketchup

1/2 cup water

1/3 cup packed brown sugar

1/4 cup white vinegar

1 tablespoon celery seed

1/2 teaspoon red pepper sauce

1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke, if desired

DIRECTIONS:

1. Heat oven to 325°F. Cut ribs into serving pieces; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place ribs in 15x10x1-inch pan. Cover with foil; bake about 2 hours 30 minutes or until tender.

2. Meanwhile, in 2-quart saucepan, mix sauce ingredients. Heat to boiling over medium heat, stirring frequently. Reduce heat to low; simmer uncovered 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

3. Heat gas or charcoal grill for indirect cooking as directed by manufacturer.

4. Place pork on unheated side of two-burner gas grill or over drip pan on charcoal grill. (If using one-burner gas grill, cook over low heat.) Cover grill; cook 15 to 20 minutes, brushing with sauce every 5 minutes, until pork is no longer pink and meat begins to pull away from bones. Discard any remaining sauce.
