The Dent d'Oche is a mountain in Haute-Savoie, in the Chablais massif, close to the French-Swiss border, which culminates at an altitude of 2,222 metres. Located on the border of the communal territories of Bernex and Novel, it dominates Evian, Thonon and Lake Geneva.
La dent d'Oche est une montagne de Haute-Savoie, dans le massif du Chablais, à proximité de la frontière franco-suisse, qui culmine à 2 222 mètres d'altitude. Située à la limite des territoires communaux de Bernex et de Novel, elle domine Évian, Thonon et le Léman.
A Thunderstorm

The wind begun to rock the grass
With threatening tunes and low, -
He flung a menace at the earth,
A menace at the sky.
The leaves unhooked themselves from trees
And started all abroad;
The dust did scoop itself like hands
And throw away the road.
The wagons quickened on the streets,
The thunder hurried slow;
The lightning showed a yellow beak,
And then a livid claw.
The birds put up the bars to nests,
The cattle fled to barns;
There came one drop of giant rain,
And then, as if the hands
That held the dams had parted hold,
The waters wrecked the sky,
But overlooked my father's house,
Just quartering a tree.

Moving on is a way of life.
There will always be obstacles, pain, and strife.
You must believe that you are strong enough to fight.
You have to believe in yourself to do what is right.
Always do for YOU no matter what you do,
Because in the end the only one who has your back is you.
Never be afraid to take a stand,
And always be willing to lend a helping hand.
A little bit goes a long way.
All it takes is a smile to brighten someone's day.
Your chance to live is now, so what are you waiting for?
The world is yours for the taking and so much more.
Endless possibilities are forever at your disposal.
The chance to live another day is life's golden proposal.
Never let anyone tear you down,
And never let anyone steal your shine and make you frown.

What started off as intentions of taking BW photos of Stonehenge at Grauland, ended up in this beautiful atrium with shadows silhouetted on the floors and walls from the domed glass ceiling above. The feeling of sitting in this room was so peaceful and inspirational. I even managed to include a partial glimpse of the Stonehenge ; )

Searching for the right tune to go with this photo, I found one by Enya which I hadn't heard before. Not only is her voice enchanting accompanied by beautiful music and lyrics, but the graphics in this video are mesmerizing.

Ronda est une ville installée au sommet d'une montagne, dans la province espagnole de Malaga, en Andalousie. Elle surplombe El Tajo, une gorge profonde qui sépare la nouvelle ville, établie vers le XVe siècle, de la vieille ville, datant de l'occupation mauresque. Puente Nuevo, un pont de pierre enjambant la gorge, offre un point de vue sur les environs. Dans la nouvelle ville, les arènes historiques pour corrida Plaza de Toros, datant du XVIIIe siècle, constituent l'un des monuments les plus significatifs de la ville.

another bw photo near to my hometown. the trees belong to an alley. it remembers my to something symmetrical. look at the birds at the top of the meadow.
I was doing an experimentation on my black and whites last night and here's the result : )

I ordered not one, but 2 Nikon cable releases, so there'll always be a backup.
I just can't with digital colors. But digital BW fascinates me in a way the film version never did. Probably because in the film era, I couldn't decide what a good BW photo should look like.
