Butterflies have long been a symbol of change and transformation, but they are also an indicator of the health of an environment. It both saddens and worries me to witness the decline in butterflies in my region - not just monarchs, but all butterflies. We need to be better caretakers of our environment.

Swallowtail butterflies are large, colorful butterflies include over 550 species. Though the majority are tropical, members of the family inhabit every continent except Antarctica.
