A photo from the north-end of Big Creek Lake in Polk County, Iowa. The light from the sun trying to break through the clouds was exceptional as I arrived here.

The sun finally forces its way through the clouds to bring a fleeting moment of relative warmth on a chilly March morning, highlighting a metal gate in the process.
HFF!
The sun finally breaks through the bank of cloud as the day comes to an end on Cornwall's Sandymouth beach.
Waited an age for this, and as usual no tripod! :-) With the light rapidly fading, I thought I'd left it too late, finally the clouds parted. This is part of the Snowdon range from the shore of Llyn Mymbyr
Early morning sunrise at business district of La Defense.
That morning I was taking the numerous shots in puddle while trying different angles and perspectives to capture the best scenario out of the reflection. Nothing right worked as most of the Images turned out flat and lacked that final mood. Until suddenly sun breakthrough from the clouds and illuminated the composition with its warm tones. It dramatically changed the mood and gave a more depth to the image.
I happened to be in the right place at the right time and finally got the shot I hoped for!
Thanks for having a look! All faves and comments are highly appreciated!
You do me (and hopefully yourself) a big favour by pressing L and then F11, to view at maximum size.
Not a great deal of good light going in Pembrokeshire over Christmas and New Year (drizzle, drizzle and more drizzle), but I did quite enjoy this brief hint of dawn colour.
I'm not sure if you remember the images I shared back in early March of the storms over the downtown area, but this is one that I didn't finalize until tonight. The swirl of storm clouds were about to engulf the Liberty Memorial Monument while the last bit of sunlight struck the tower.
A rather dramatic sky at the end of a cloudy day over the Polish Baltic Sea.
A combination of ND Grad 0.9 soft & hard was used.
Rainy and cloudy all the way, suddenly the sunlight came out and through the forest just for seconds, then never saw the sun after we hiked to the Blue Dragon Falls and back.
