The Glenapp Boys, Rob, Dennis and Alan Sibson, grew up at the railway siding of Glenapp, sons of the man in charge of keeping the watering facilities going. Decades later, they return to keep the place neat and tidy, unique on the north coast line. Most weekends Rob and Dennis can be found camping on site, enjoying the ambiance, while preparing for a hard day of tending trees and mowing grass. I dropped down there for a steak and a beer, and while there Rob kindly posed this shot for me, waving a southbound BA4 through, as WB3 holds the siding. Thanks Boys!

The Gambia is a country on the West Coast of Africa. It's the smallest country in Africa and is surrounded by Senegal (except on it's Atlantic coast.)
A former part of the British Empire, Gambia became an independent country in 1965.
In the past the Gambia was one of the main places where locals were captured and sold into the slave trade of the West. Famously the book and TV series "Roots" told the story of one of those people and his descendants.
Now, the Gambia is a very popular winter tourist destination where the locals are very friendly, costs are low and there are superb beaches facing the Atlantic Ocean.
With slippers in my foot, down the elevators. Arrived on the sands, empty, clear water. Place the top of the stones seemed a paradise. When we passed the kiosks, always a joy. Even when the weather closed, watching the windows. When we moved, I did not believe. I wish for all of that time, good memories of life renew the soul, strengthen the body.

I passed by these boys deep into their "posse-zone." When I was a 5th grader, my friends and I lived on our Schwinn bikes and life was so good.
I'm still suck at group shot LOL.
And Eagle couldn't be in this group shot coz he doesn't have a body, yet.

I got this lot from eBay Australia. I needed Out with the Girls River & Back to School Hudson to get closer to completing my My Scene Boys collection but couldn't resist getting duplicates of the ones I already have since they were cheap. The only downside is that shipping them from Australia to the Philippines costed me more than what I have paid for them.

Dressed up as the Goonies this year, the group do something similar every year, in aid of the Brain Tumour Trust. A friend of theirs died from one at the age of 31 and I think they started before he died, and have carried on in his memory. They are all getting a but old to be carrying on so, but it's great that they can still be stupid - and get away with it!
Oakville Lawn Bowling Club, Oakville ON 3 Jun 2024. The Sunshine Boys is a lawn bowling league for older guys. I am not quite in their league, age wise, but it won't be long.
The annual Friends of Steve McQueen Car Show benefiting Boys Republic. This event was a blast and the charity dinner was wonderful. Any McQueen event always has a great Porsche turn out as well.
It was far too hot and humid for a regular game, but the kids really needed to get out for some exercise - so we played 'walking' basket-ball. No-one was allowed to go faster than a walk. Not too exhausting and a lot of fun.
