This box turtle had been digging nests, plus it had gotten a little too cold so it was apparently sleeping.
for "Crazy Tuesday" theme is "boxes"
a nice Tuesday , listen the :
Little boxes on the hillside
Little boxes made of ticky-tacky
Little boxes on the hillside
Little boxes all the same
There's a green one and a pink one
And a blue one and a yellow one
And they're all made out of ticky-tacky
And they all look just the same
And the people in the houses
All went to the university
Where they were put in boxes
And they came out all the same
And there's doctors and lawyers
And business executives
And they're all made out of ticky-tacky
And they all look just the same
And they all play on the golf course
And drink their martinis dry
And they all have pretty children
And the children go to school
And the children go to summer camp
And then to the university
Where they are put in boxes
And they come out all the same...........

As evening sets in, NS 3481 puts in some work, shoving roughly 8 or so boxcars up the steep grade to be spotted at Verst Logistics Warehouse in Richwood, KY. Richwood is home to a fairly good sized industrial park, served by Gest St. based local T65 almost daily.
Girls carrying and balancing huge packages seem to be rife in Düsseldorf right now!!
It’s the Spring!
People are looking for a change in their lives ...clearing out, buying new gear or moving to a new home!
Hope for a free and independent future perhaps...

Hey all. A couple days ago, I signed up for National Novel Writing Month. You know, for fun. I started a couple days late, the idea is to start a novel on November 1 and have 50000 words by November 30. Despite never having completed a short story before, let alone a novel, I thought this was a worthy challenge. As of this writing (Nov 9, 1:20am) I'm up to 7744 words and no signs of slowing down. If you've been following my photostream, it should come as no surprise that my novel is kind of dark, kind of spooky, and all sorts of quiet subtlety. See if you can find me on that site, I got the same fun name, and the same funny face as here. You can watch my progress throughout the month. I may even start posting excerpts if I write anything good, too.
the box moth look out for these guys if you have box (buxas)hedging the caterpillars will strip it and kill it which is heart breaking as they take so long to grow
Taken at f/1.4. This is one of only three or four items that connect me to the past 20 years of my life. Aside from this, and the few other 'items', life started over for me two years ago, and this is one thing I have been able to keep with me. I hand-made this box several years ago. It is what's inside this box that counts. The few other things that connect to my former life are inside of this. I made this box to look like an antique....
Exploration of the present day human condition and behavior as reflected in the lifeless world of mannequins and store windows. As beautiful as it seems from a visual perspective, there is an ever-present reminder of the lack of emotions, and an almost surrealistic belief of happiness and pleasure derived from the material world. Trapped in a well-conceived, visually stimulating box, these mannequins exude spiritual bliss, presenting a paradoxical interpretation of reality.

the meaning of 'bhuna'
an Indian dish or sauce in which spices are dry-roasted in a pan and then combined with a moistening agent such as yogurt or water.
the word 'bhuna' refers to the cooking method of this dish, and means 'to fry' or 'fried'. usually the spices are fried gently, before adding the meat.
originating in bengal, bhuna is a hot curry and doesn’t come swimming in sauce. it’s usually a thick sauce, with just enough to cling to the meat.

I'd not seen one of these moths in the garden in Earley, Reading before, so was surprised to find that it was a fairly recent accidentally introduced species to Britain, first sighting reported in 2007.
Fringe box office in Bristo Square, by Edinburgh University. Normally this square is filled with students and youngsters on skateboards using the space, but during the Festival in August it is filled with pop-up venues for performances and for drinking (the old joke is that almost very spare broom cupboard is pressed into services as a Fringe venue in August).
Quick night shot with the phone as I was passing on my way to the nearby Edinburgh International Book Festival (the Edinburgh International Festival, Fringe and the Book Fest are already on, with the Film Festival starting later this week - it's all go in Edinburgh in August!)
