Baie de Fundy, New-Brunswick

Parts of "A League of Their Own" were filmed in this stadium, which has been in use since the 19-teens and is now home to the Evansville Otters of baseball's Frontier League.

The River City Rascals--kind of our own "home" Frontier team, from O'Fallon, MO--played their very first games here before their debut home opener, and we attended one of them.

Bosse Field during an Otter's Game

Bosse is a European / Norweigan forest cat with patterning perfect for trying out lenses on.

This shot is UNSHARPENED (and without additional structural clarity) from the Panasonic 20mm f1.7 and just goes to show how fantastically sharp this legendary street lens is.

Plus I love my kitteh pal.

Dorothea Bosse died in 1912 at the age of 89 - sadly, the cemetery record says she died of senility. Her husband, Johann, died 42 years before her, of a cerebral hemorrage. Their sons, Heinrich, who died in 1853 at the age of 5, and George, who died in 1863 at the age of 2, are buried alongside them. According to the cemetery records, both boys died of whooping cough.

A daughter, Maria C., died in 1847 at the age of 9, of tuberculosis, while another daughter, Maria W. Louise, died in 1857 at the age of 8 of "summer complaint".

Their other daughters, Cordelia and Emma Bosse and Minnie Gill, are also buried at this site.

The family used to live on Ida Street in Mount Adams -
