The inside cover of a picture book or Sojo Manga; the illustrator and author was a pen friend of mine when I was a teenager.
The writing is her pen name and translates to Namie Hojow.
"Most of what she knew, she'd learned from the wild. Nature had nurtured, tutored, and protected her when no one else would."

Today, we delved into the captivating world of "Where the Crawdads Sing," a beautifully haunting story that seamlessly intertwines the beauty of nature, the poignancy of coming-of-age, and the intrigue of a potential crime. Surrounded by the enchanting backdrop of The Swamp at Vineyard Terrace, we engaged in a spirited dialogue exploring the timeless debate of nature versus nurture.
We extend a warm invitation for you to join us in our future discussions. Whether you've delved into the pages of the book or not, all are welcome to participate in our vibrant community. A delightful book and record store in Letchworth Garden City. Truly independent, truly wonderful. The shop is owned by its staff and is a great testament to local means great. I purchased a vinyl copy of Otis Blue a magnificent Otis Redding LP of my youth. It has lasted the test of time, I was almost in tears listening to the songs. Good music whatever the genre lasts forever. I also the the 1980’s artist Blondie!!!!
Booker recently turned 4 years old.
Spanky glued kids to the floor and put them in birdcages when he babysat.. I hook them up to a cinder block.

“I love books. I adore everything about them. I love the feel of the pages on my fingertips. They are light enough to carry, yet so heavy with worlds and ideas. I love the sound of the pages flicking against my fingers. Print against fingerprints. Books make people quiet, yet they are so loud.” – Nnedi Okorafor in The Book of Phoenix

Book and asrt sellerts line whole sections of the Seine, but it's not fun being open when it is raining like it was today. The bridge in the background is Pont Neuf
Annibel was doing a shot while a group of us hung out, and I really liked her concept, so I decided to shoot my own copy of it.

This was a curiosity! We turned down this little gravel one lane road with only two or three houses on it. And this book exchange with an old Cooler. Anita being Anita jumped out to check out the book selection (completely ignoring my words of warning about the poison ivy) and guess who has poison ivy around her ankles now? Oh my! But she has a new book to read and one day will take another book back... hopefully after the poison ivy fades away? Have a fantastic rest of the weekend, Happy Fathers day to those of you who are fathers and we are off to find more odd and interesting sights. :)
I made this sketch book based off Peg and Awl's tutorial and a new design by the owner Margaux. I have made several sketch books using their tutorial, but this open binding design was something she posted a picture of and I had to figure out how she did it. I'm not sure if they are exactly the same, but I am so happy with how mine turned out. The nice thing about mine is that I can snip the threads when the book is complete and reuse the leather for another book The sketchbook inside will remain intact.
