I saw this family group several times on a recent stay at friends' nature refuge in the Atherton Tablelands, far north east Australia. This shot was during the closest of those encounters.
Mother and her 2 joeys (young). The one on the right near the mother is the current season's joey, and on the left is the larger joey from the previous season. The joeys can stay with their mother for several years. Their status is classified as near threatened, and considered as rare.

Mother, on the right, and season before last's joey Lumholtz's Tree-kangaroos, Dendrolagus lumholtzi, during a mutual grooming session. This joey could be about 18 months old, and another much younger joey is also part of this group but just out of view. What a special sight to see in the forest canopy near Wondecla, Atherton Tablelands, Queensland, Australia. Since taking this shot (Nov2020) this joey has now moved off from her mum and sibling to forage on her own .(Jan2021)

Sometimes you don't have to spend a lot of money to have fun with your kids. The snowfall on Friday and Saturday created a perfect opportunity for parents to bring their children to enjoy the snow
When I was at QE Park, many kids were sliding their sleds. The smile on each child's face made me feel so pleased. I took quite a lot of photos there but I love this one the most. Both the father and the son really enjoyed themselves together. Even though the snow brought a lot of problems in Vancouver, many people still make the most out of it before it is over.

My brother now lives in FL. for nearly 4 years I had 800 miles distance between us and now I have a couple thousand miles. I miss him and his girls a lot. He is in town this week for a training class and his son's graduation. The Training class is directly across from my job so he and I will be together every day at lunch time "bonding". I am looking forward to this twice as much as he is. I'm mushy he gets embarrassed with my hello and good bye hugs and kisses but takes it all in like a good sport. I am one happy Sista this week to say the least.
